The (back) pain is real :’)

My first post to this forum since I was in the December 2015 birth month club!  This is my second pregnancy and I am 24+2.  I only really noticed a couple weeks ago that I started feeling really bad pain in my pelvis/hips in bed at night and now my back that makes it basically unbearable to sit down for any extended period of time.  I am in class 3 days a week for my nursing program, and even driving to commute to school is getting to be a chore.

I bought a belly band mostly to help me correct my posture, but I’m not really noticing a difference.  Tylenol doesn’t really help and safe topical pain relief like lidocaine doesn’t do much to help either.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

  • Ugh girl, I feel you! I’m 26+2 and cannot figure out what triggers my low back pain because it doesn’t happen every day or all the time. My belly band does help a bit, as well as yoga poses (cat/cow, lizard, and pigeon specifically), but my SIL just told me she started seeing a chiropractor regularly starting at 28 weeks which was the only thing that helped her. I’m seriously considering it. She got weekly adjustments and said it was a miracle. Maybe worth looking into? I hope you find some relief!
