Hey ladies, first time mom here and my almost 6 week old (turns 6 weeks on Friday) won’t stop crying when she’s wake. She’ll be happy for about 15-20 minutes then she’ll start crying. I’ll walk her around, swaddle her, rock her, and it soothes her for a little bit but then she start crying and get more agitated. To where she’s stiffening her legs or arches her back, or uses her legs to push on menopause if I’m holding her on my chest(she’s a very strong baby at her young age) and screaming where sometimes it’s hard to even hold her. And the madder to gets she’ll start sweating/gets really hot(but never running a temp). Is this normal? She has her 2 month check up in about 2 weeks so I’ll bring this up as well. Could this just be colic? She’s a pretty gassy baby, but sometimes it seems she struggles to poop more than to pass gas. She also has an outie bellybutton so I’m not sure if that could be bothering her too.
If anyone’s experienced this of could give me some advice that would be greatly appreciated. I just want my baby to be happy and comfortable.
Re: Newborn won’t stop crying
our routine works like this for us :
1. change diaper
2. Tummy time
3. Bath time
4. Massage baby while putting baby lotion and put diaper and clothes on
5. Bottle feeding close to were baby can see your eyes singing or talking or story time
6. skin to skin contact his/her ear close to chest so they can listen to your heartbeat
By this time baby is happy and asleep.
*****Set up a good environment that works for you and your baby*******
My room during the day I like to have daylight come in and for night time night light is always on.
I always take a breather if I need to and come back if I get overwhelmed.
