Hand Me Downs

So I’m pregnant with My first child but my partner has 2 kids from another relationship. He wants to use his kids old things like crib and things like that for the new baby. I don’t want to do that because this is my first child and I want the first time parent experience of researching and picking out what I want my child to have. I know his way would save a lot of money but why should I be robbed out of an experience because he already has kids? They are 5 and 4 if that helps with anything. Am I wrong for this?

    Did you end up agreeing to the HMDs? I don’t think you are for wanting the new mom experience. I’ll be going through something similar when my time comes.
