Hi all!! Hope everyone is happy and healthy :)
My partner and I are planning to TTC in June and we were wondering if it’s “too early” to start budgeting and setting money aside for baby items (cribs, diapers, etc)? We are going to start a registry when appropriate. Are there any items we should definitely save for the future registry?
Or are we getting a bit ahead of ourselves and wait until we conceive to think about budgeting for baby items, etc.?
Thanks for the advice!!
Re: Too early to budget?
This is the TRYING to get PG board. Many people on this board have never been PG, and some of us have been through hell in a handbasket attempting to get PG. We also like newbies to introduce themselves in the newbie thread and join into the regular threads, as we don't tend to post special threads on this board. Thankfully it's quieter right now, so you will probably get lass flak about it.
But, only you know your financial situation. Only you and your partner know how much you may need, how much time you may need to save it, etc.
But no one knows what your PG situation may be. You may get PG on your first or second cycle like a special little snowflake, as my sister is. Or you could end up in PG infertility hell where you got a decade with 5 miscarriages, 9 crap embryos, and a hope and a prayer for a geriatric PG with one of the two non-genetically deformed embryos that you have left and praying you don't end up slitting your wrists by the end of the process...
So, who knows what could happen? But only you can determine your financial situation. If you would like to join in conversations, please introduce yourself in the Newbie Intros w/o April 15 — The Bump thread and then join in the dailies and get to know us. We like people who take interest in our stories before asking specific detailed advice on their own...
