hey mamas and future mamas!
i recently got a positive pregnancy test on april 2nd, started bleeding a light period on the 3rd, got hcg checked and it was only 15. four days later it was a 27 then 2 days later a 29. today i went and the levels were a 22. clearly a non viable pregnancy. er doc said miscarriage or chemical pregnancy because i had a period on march 4th. it was way early. i got curious today after i left the er because i was cramping and small amount of thick discharge. peed on an ovulation stick and it was dark blue, like no misreading that. question is, how is it possible im ovulating if i am or miscarried less than 2 weeks ago. and why did my levels rise just a tad after the miscarriage? any opinions or same stories?
Re: miscarriage and ovulation
Also, definitely make sure you track HCG down to 0. OR sit out a cycle or two. I can't tell you the number of times people come back and say "It's been 4-5 weeks since my MC and my PG tests are turning positive and I had sex two weeks ago. What is going on?" And that's a place NO one wants to be, because at that point, you have to go get HCG beta tests and see if the number is rising or lowering to see if the HCG in your body is from the first MC, or if you're PG again, or if you're having a second MC. Just do yourself, and everyone else, a favor and sit out until after your next cycle!
