C-section

My Doctor is recommending that I get a c-section. I'm not sure why but I believe it's because I have not had a lot of experience I've only had one partner and I got pregnant in the first try. I want to know if there's anyone out there that had a C-section and how bad was it. Well?

Re: C-section

  • I’d ask for a better explanation because amount of experience has nothing to do with it

  • I ended up having a c-section. Day 2-3 post-op was the worst. Keep maternity undies and pants on-hand - you don’t have anything rubbing on that area. I’ll have to have another one and I’m not dreading it. The spinal block was lovely. 😅 (until it wore off lol!
  • I would ask for my information as to why the c- section is recommended.  I ended up having one after 27 hours of labor and it honestly went ok. I'd recommend having someone help you in and out of bed at home,  have lots of frozen meals prepped,  and take it easy.  I will most likely do another c- section this time.

If you’re taking a birth course or anything of the like then read up on c section. That’s an odd cause to schedule one I think. Mine was scheduled in dec 22 due to a 39 week US showing big baby. It’s nice to hear the other ladies recovered ok, my recovery was rough (but I was still jogging again 6 months post partum, so you DO recover) so I’m hoping for a vaginal birth this time but not all docs allow vaginal after c section ( something I wish I had known prior)

I think scheduled is better than emergency though, my scheduled surgery was not bad, very relaxed, very controlled. It’s just the recovery that I found tough.
