Call me Shamu

How can I be this bloated so early on!? I feel like a whale and I am only 5 weeks. I can barely get my (previously snug) jeans zipped up.

I may be the first person in history to wear maternity clothes in the first trimester

….. is it just me or anyone else experiencing whale like bloating???

Re: Call me Shamu

  • Me too. Bloated constantly

  • I have the same! I feel like I already need to size up in my pants! 😬😬
  • I had my first baby only 14ish months ago, and am also feeling like I need to bust out maternity already with this one. Ughhh
  • Haha right there with you. This is my 6th pregnancy. I always show early even with my 1st, but more with each one. My cousin is pregnant and just had her gender reveal and my gma said can't even tell she's pregnant. Haha we are not the same. I loathe the awkward point of is she fat or is she pregnant phase when nothing fits right and the bump isn't quite round enough to be distinguishable.

    You're not alone! 😉
  • Update: I’m 7 weeks tomorrow and wearing maternity pants to church today. Oh, and I jog 2-3 times a week, it didn’t help! 😂
  • I am sooo bloated and certainly have gained a few pounds from eating so much these past few weeks (snacking constantly seems to be the only thing helping with the nausea). I am 9 weeks and officially can’t fit into a pair of my pants today. I know body changes and weight gain in pregnancy are par for the course, but it’s bringing up some old body issues for me. It’s helpful to know I’m not alone!
  • Giiiiiirl yes! This is my 3rd, my 2nd in as many years. And I was out of my regular jeans by week 10. I didn’t find out until week 9 but yknow it sure helped because I was eating clean and couldn’t figure out why my jeans were busting!
