Product Spotlight: Vitamins

The product spotlight is a chance for us to highlight a different area or item of pregnancy every week and get suggestions and reviews from others with experiences and opinions.

This week’s topic is Vitamins. Which ones do you recommend and why? Any that you didn’t find helpful and why? Any that you are thinking about using this time? Questions?

Re: Product Spotlight: Vitamins

  • Welp, I guess I put this in the wrong spot earlier. My b, but I’m loving the Pink Stork brand. I’ve been taking the liquid prenatal, liquid folate, gummy iron, gummy fiber, spray magnesium, and gel dha. I also like their nausea tea.  I like that most of the ingredients are from whole-food sources and not synthetic. ❤️

  • No worries. Thanks for the recommendation! I use Nature Made for my prenatal since it doesn't make me more nauseous.
  • Sorry, this is not about vitamins, but I am trying to find the best spot to ask for bra suggestions. I am 6 weeks, and my boobs have been so sore, and I feel like they've already gotten bigger, and I'm just not comfortable. Does anyone have any suggestions for a comfy but supportive bra? Thank you! 😊
  • I'm using Care Of's prenatal vitamins and supplementing with Vegepower's Omega-3 Vegan. Honestly, still getting used to taking so many large pills a day, but it is becoming more natural. I'm a bit worried about getting them all down if/when nausea kicks in though.
  • @kb0685 You could ask in the weekly check in thread or start the bra product spotlight thread early! That will probably get you better answers than putting the question in the vitamin thread.
  • Thanks 👍🏻
  • I’ve been taking Nature Made with DHA as well but I had a blood test that showed I was vitamin D deficient so even though the prenatal has D, my doctor recommended I take an additional Vitamin D supplement. I think Vitamin D deficiency is common in pregnant women as well!
  • Anybody have a DHA supplement they like? I'm at 6 weeks and the morning sickness has kicked in and my DHA pill smells disgusting and I don't know that I can keep them down right now. Any recommendations?
  • I've been pretty happy with the Honest Co brand Prenatal vitamins and Prenatal and Postnatal DHA supplement. The DHA smells citrusy and I've sensed no fishy taste at all! The Prenatal is huge, but smells sweet and no issues with it so far.
  • Naturemade plus DHA works for me I'm very nauseous.

Nordic naturals is my go-to for omegas. I think the pregnancy one is lemon flavored.
  • I've currently been taking the One-a-Day prenatal vitamin gummies. I find that they taste and smell awful. Does anyone have any recommendations for any vitamin gummies that taste pleasant?
