Team blue/pink/green: pink...? I think I may be having a girl b/c of the naseau and vomiting...? Seems more than other moms I've talked to
Upcoming Appointments: Tomorrow! Nurses intake
How are you feeling?: Alright. It's been an adjustment dealing with the naseau that persists all day and figuring out how not to vomit. I feel like I'm doing basic self care 95% of the time.
Rants/Raves: My house is a mess. I'm avoiding cleaning my kitchen right now. On my days off all I want to do is doze off/sleep in for most of the day. I don't have the energy to... clean my bathroom. Or empty my dishwasher. I used to set a rule for myself that every night the kitchen at the very least needs to be clean and free of clutter. So when you wake up it's not looming there stressing you out.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day?
Retreat. Pull inward. Find a book to immerse in and a comfy blanket to curl into. I used to like getting a sweet treat. Icecream, homemade cookies, ect. But I haven't been craving sweets at all these last few weeks. The other day I thought refried beans sounded like it might he good. Like the kind they have at Mexican restaurants. I got some and it made me happy.
Team blue/pink/green: I don’t care but not knowing is killing me!!
Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday first ob appt (graduated from fertility clinic)
How are you feeling?: constipated/bloated/gassy, nauseous, exhausted
Rants/Raves: I have no energy to do anythinggg. I am exhausted and my house feels like it never stops needing things done around it. Also so sick of the random nausea SOS
Questions: Why am I still not convinced this pregnancy will stick??? PS is it too early to start low key planning a baby shower ideas/registries that won’t take place for months???
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? Relaxing in bed
Upcoming Appointments: last appointment with our fertility clinic on Wednesday
How are you feeling?: I have a nasty cold that’s really taken me down. It’s been miserable but my husband has really stepped up and I’m so grateful to be able to rest.
Rants/Raves: the silver lining to being sick is having lots of time to read in bed! I just finished a mystery by Ann Cleeves that was really riveting.
Questions: none
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? A walk, a cup of tea, and a snuggle from my toddler and my hubby.
Congratulations!! And your answer to how you are feeling... girl SAME. Jesus. My digestive tract is just so different than before. It's so uncomfortable. The whole smell intensity thing has thankfully receded these past couple days. Is that normal for it to ebb and flow?
Team blue/pink/green: I find out in 1-2 weeks (from blood test)!!!
Upcoming Appointments: had my NIPT blood draw today and why did no on tell me I would get 10 tubes drawn 😳
How are you feeling?: I have been congested 24/7 and I truly miss breathing out of my nose! I’m also always hungry so I feel like I’ve been eating a lot recently.
Rants/Raves: My rant is that all my cravings are specifically outside food but my rave is that my sweetest husband always gets them for me ❤️
Questions: none
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? Recently all my bad moments are because I’m exhausted and cranky or very hungry so I’ve been living off of snacks and naps this pregnancy which always seem to resolve my issues haha
Baby is the size of a: Denise’s Pygmy seahorse (or a 2x2 Lego block)
Team blue/pink/green: leaning towards team blue
Upcoming Appointments: next Wednesday for dating scan!
How are you feeling?: Tired and I’ve got a head cold that’s not helping. I can’t stop sneezing. My appetite is still low but DH made schnitzel and spätzle last night that REALLY hit the spot.
Rants/Raves: Evaluations at work seem to be ramping up which SUCKS because I’m less than motivated right now. No one else knows so it looks like I’m being super self-critical that others think I look lazy/forgetful… raving that I found little beans heartbeat with an at home Doppler on Sunday! Pretty excited about that!
Questions: Anyone else dealing with low BP? I remember it getting me last pregnancy too, but this feels different. Maybe because I’m in my 30s now 😂
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day?: getting outside and/or talking to my best friend that lives half the country away from me! Getting outside is like a complete reset.
Me: 27 DH: 30 Started dating: 10/2010 ;; Married 10/2017 Started TTC: 10/2019 BFP: 12/20/19 ;; MC: 12/24/19 BFP: 3/5/20 ;; EDD: 11/11/20
How are you feeling?: Overall pretty good. I'm one of the lucky few with minimal symptoms. Although I have been very low energy compared to my usual self. I took my dog on a walk yesterday, and my pace was so slow compared to normal, and I couldn't even walk the full length we normally do. I was exhausted. From walking! I felt so pathetic.
Rants/Raves: I normally eat pretty healthy, but I've been craving chocolate and chips and other unhealthy snacks lately. Probably the worst time ever to eat so unhealthily but I have no idea how to stop the cravings.
Questions: Anyone opting for any of the early testing? I'll be 10wks at my next appt so I think I'm eligible for some, I'm planning to do the genetic screenings and NIPT. Will I seriously need to get 10 tubes drawn?! Holy crap
GTKY:What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? Make some tea and find a good book to read. And if I'm too worked up to do that, getting some yoga in always works.
Baby is the size of a (an): blueberry (week)/ honey bee (daily fact)
Team blue/pink/green: either!
Upcoming Appointments: 3/20
How are you feeling?: UGH. The nausea is strong. Morning sickness all day mixed with extreme fatigue. I was trying to hold off using B6/unisom until my 3/20 appointment. I used that combo during my first pregnancy. I finally decided to email my provider and ask if it was okay to use for this pregnancy too. As soon as I got the yes today, I ran to the pharmacy. Already feeling human again.
Rants/Raves: I WFH and also take care of my 20 month old who is a high energy ball off curiosity and mischief. It's hard to balance at times, but I am fortunate enough to have so much flexibility in my job to allow me to watch him.
Questions: For those with toddlers and morning sickness, how are you blaancing/managing?
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? Throw my LO in his stroller and go for a long walk. Fresh air always makes me feel better. Or, put something on Netflix while I mindlessly scroll through my phone.
Team blue/pink/green: hoping for pink! Planning on doing sneak peek next week.
Upcoming Appointments: Friday. It was supposed to be last Monday in March, but most of my symptoms have stopped so I called my OB freaking out and they moved me up to Friday for my own peace of mind.
How are you feeling?: I’m feeling a lot better minus the headaches. But I’ve gotten headaches my whole life so that’s not new. What’s new is I’m not taking anything for them right now, just resting.
Rants/Raves: literally nothing sounds good to eat. I’m making myself eat really big colorful salads with lots of good stuff mixed in, but I’m not even craving anything. I just don’t want to eat.
Questions: is it worth it to get the fetal Doppler before I’ve even heard the heartbeat on the Doppler at the doctor? I’ve seen the flicker, but didn’t hear it.
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? When I figure it out I’ll let you know. I’ve been pretty depressed lately. I’ve had several dreams about a missed miscarriage and now that’s all I can think about.
Upcoming Appointments: 3/21 for 2nd ultrasound. We saw flicker of heartbeat last week but couldn't hear it yet.
How are you feeling?: so sick. I've been on b6/unisom since week 4 and Zofran since week 6. I'm still barely able to eat and feel like general garbage.
Rants/Raves: having a hard time getting any work done, right when I have this enormous project on my plate. The brain fog is so heavy.
Questions: what's your go to for constipation? I've never experienced it before but Zofran is doing things to me...
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? Going outside. Reading a book. Eating a Wendy's frosty 😋
Team blue/pink/green: TBD! My guess is another girl but will be happy either way
Upcoming Appointments: 3/20 for dating scan (can’t come soon enough!)
How are you feeling?: So nauseated this past week. I had no nausea with my last pregnancy so this is new to me and I’m not a fan. I am both starving and nauseous at all times. And super tired, struggling to stay awake at work in the afternoons.
Rants/Raves: Rant: Daylight savings really messed me up. I had to be up super early on Monday morning which then felt an hour earlier. Also work has been really hectic and I’ve been working 6 day weeks 12+ hour days, which are really wearing on me. Rave: We hosted an Oscar’s party and pasta potluck on Sunday evening and it was so much fun!
Questions: None at the moment
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? Getting fresh air is always and instant relief when I’m anxious or in a bad mood. Also a comfort meal and getting cozy at the end of the day. And sleep is the secret to solving most of my problems!
How are you feeling?: Still get bouts of fatigue but overall feeling much more like myself, only get nausea when it’s time to eat
Rants/Raves: I went to four stores trying to find maternity clothes and they only sell them online! I just want to wear jeans without feeling squished. But I got to see my little one at my doctor’s appt on Friday and felt so relieved that everything was ok.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? Listen to music, go for a walk, take a long shower, give myself a spa evening
@acb0617 - I would probably wait until after your doctors appointment to get a Doppler. Theyre prone to user error and it’s not worth the panic if you can’t find the heartbeat. You may be sent into worry for no reason. I got one after the first trimester for my first pregnancy and listened to the heartbeat once a week as peace of mind.
How are you feeling?: Generally pretty good. Recently my energy levels have dropped and my nausea is starting to get annoying.
Rants/Raves: Not a fan of any strong smells. Currently loving fruit juices and smoothies.
Questions: I feel like none of my pants really fit anymore. Is that normal this early? Any suggestions for comfy, loose pants and underwear would be appreciated.
GTKY: Reading a book on the couch with a comfy blanket and a hot chocolate or fruit smoothie.
Hello ladies, seeing a couple questions regarding the home Doppler. I had an early ultrasound at 7 weeks and my doctor specifically told me that we do not use a Doppler this early because it can harm the baby due to heat. Just wanted to let the community know what I know! Please try to refrain from using it this early on unless your doc says it’s ok ofcourse.
@a@acb0617 - I honestly do not advise getting the at home Doppler if you’re an anxious person or going to worry/struggle if you cannot find a heartbeat. It’s pretty tricky to use and you have to be SUPER patient. I got mine with my first pregnancy because it was COVID, the world was shut down, and I was getting minimal doctor’s visits because I had a low risk pregnancy. I found the HB early that pregnancy and it helped me feel better BUT there were days I had to give up because I couldn’t find it.
Hoping all the best for you! Dreams at this stage can be so wacky!

How are you feeling?: I’m not happy. I am tired and napping constantly. I am lucky to have had a light week at work and I’m feeling anxious about trying to keep up with a a normal week next week. I’m congested and my nose bleeds every day. I can breathe most of the time now, but I had several days where I felt swollen and headachy and I’m sure if it was allergies or a head cold. I’m starving and nauseated and adverse to almost all food, which is not helping the tired. I have been okay with apples and pb, but I ate an apple today and got immediate diarrhea so not sure I’ll feel like eating them again soon. Water is great. I can drink all the water. I think I feel worse after eating instead of better, though. I get intense waves of nausea like my body is trying to decide if the food is acceptable or not. No vomiting with unisom/b6, fortunately.
Rants/Raves: hard to be excited this week, but trying to stay positive and remember that all things are temporary.
Questions: how do folks feel about Zofran during pregnancy? My ob wants me to take phenergan instead and I’m concerned the phenergan will just knock me out when I’m already barely functioning. I’m anticipating another 4-5 weeks of this and not sure how to get through it.
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? Talking to a good friend makes a big difference.
Baby is the size of a (an): strawberry/top of a tea candle (sometimes the sizes seem very different to me 😂)
Team blue/pink/green: excited to find out in a couple weeks!
Upcoming Appointments: 3/25 for NIPT and check up
How are you feeling?: excited! But also (like you all) nauseated, tired, bloated, and my SI joint is causing a lot of nerve pain
Rants/Raves: rant: my back/butt pain from SI joint is ROUGH. Would love any suggestions or miracle fixes! 🙏🏼 rave: just very excited about all of this and grateful for an amazing, supportive partner! ❤️
Questions: Is anyone else dealing with SI joint pain and shooting nerve pains? Any remedies? (Currently trying heat, Tylenol, stretching/strength exercises, resting)
GTKY: What is your process for turning a bad day into a good day? snuggling my partner and pup! 🤗
