41 forth baby never had any Bp issues ever. Just seems weird!  Definitely aware of my advanced maternal age, but AnyWho.

  • Hello. I was told to take baby aspirin to prevent high blood pressure latter on.

  • I took baby aspirin during my last pregnancy to prevent preeclampsia, but I already had an elevated blood pressure. I was also on blood pressure medication. I may need to get back on during this pregnancy because my pressure is already trending high ugh
  • I’m taking it as standard procedure for over 35 moms. Never had any blood pressure issues before but I don’t mind the precaution.
  • I had pre-eclampsia with first pregnancy so my doc wants me on it this time around to hopefully prevent this time. I’m also monitoring my BP at home just to stay on top of it.

  • If the doctor insists on aspirin, it is better to listen to him, I have heard from many girls that aspirin helps with blood pressure.
  • I took it with my last pregnancy because I was over 35. I haven't been told to take it this pregnancy yet, though it's a different state. They also aren't doing an early gestational diabetes test like my other practice had me do for each of my pregnancies.
  • I just had my 12 week check up due to high BP at my initial ultrasound. I was prescribed low does aspirin and had to get a BP monitor to check at home twice a day. I have no history of high BP but my SIL is at risk of preeclampsia and has been doing what I was prescribed for most of her pregnancy.
  • Yes ! And I questioned my doc on it and was told since it’s my first pregnancy that that is a risk factor.
  • I was told by my ob that I will start a low dose aspirin around 17 weeks. I had preeclampsia with both of my previous pregnancies. I have been on no meds for almost a year and im 13 weeks now.
  • I have to take it I have APS so I’m taking it to help prevent placental defects, not so much preE.
  • Yes, I’m taking a low dose aspirin as my bp has been higher my whole pregnancy.  Started taking it at week 12, and will likely take it all the way to the end.  If it helps reduce the risk of preeclampsia, I’m all about it.  Hope all you momma’s are doing well!
  • My dad is a well renowned / respected high risk OB and I’ll never forget on daddy daughter work days growing up always hearing him tell his high risk patients to take one baby aspirin every night! I remember the first time I got pregnant as soon as I found out the first thing I did was call and ask him if I needed to start the baby aspirin now. Haha. Listen to your doctor for sure! <3
  • Yes 32 and was told to take baby asprin to prevent pregnancy complications. Preeclampsia was one
  • Yes I’m currently on 2 a day …so far so good
  • YES I HAVE BEEN TAKING IT SINCE 10 WEEKS IM 22 NOW AND EVERYTHING IS GOOD
