anyone else have menstrual type cramps w/o bleeding?

in 2nd Trimester
hi! i’m 18 weeks and 3 days. everyday throughout the day and night i have extremely strong menstrual type cramps. thankfully my doc says it hasn’t affected my cervix opening and i haven’t had any bleeding. it’s a little worrisome because my doctor hasn’t eliminated that it might lead to preterm labor later on. has anyone else had cramps like this or went thru this before? what’s your experience like?

    I do but I get them closer to third tri. I think they’re just Braxton hicks but more uncomfortable than the internet makes them seem. But I don’t get them all the time. Mostly when I’m over exerting myself while doing chores etc. and they go away when I sit and relax. I’d try to really up your water intake and take it easy when possible. If they don’t go away when you sit down I’d be more concerned.

    I’ll add I had the same thing with my first child and it didn’t contribute to any cervical dilation or ripening. I was induced at 39+5 completely closed.

    @virtaur i appreciate your response. unfortunately it comes during rest and even at night when im sleeping (it sometimes wakes me from sleep). i’m trying to stay positive and just hope baby can stay put. she did tell me to increase water, which i am. it’s not helping much though :/

    Same here. Have had them since week 3 or 4 w/o bleeding. Everything's been checked and all normal. Doc says it looks like it's just gonna be "normal for me" for a while. I'm 15 weeks.
