This 2nd trimester anxiety got a chokehold on me. I don't have ANY symptoms and aside from some weight gain in my belly, I don't look pregnant. And I'm a FTM so I haven't felt any flutters or movement or anything 😵‍💫

The reality that I will be bringing home a newborn to a feral 2 year old toddler is setting in. He can be so sweet but he is WILD and well, a toddler! Claiming everything, pulling everything of shelves and counters. Someone tell me it isn’t going to be a hard as I imagine it will be 😅

@jhysmath I prefer cooler weather but I'm ready for it to warm up already! I'm finally feeling better enough to want to go out for walks but this frigid air 😫

@rabtaido1214 🙌🏼 yay! One of the first things I did after seeing my BFP was ask my husband to find my old pregnancy pillow at the top of my closet so I can sleep with it again

@robotpopcan I don't remember when I started feeling movements the first time around but this app keeps telling me I might this week so now I'm feeling hyper aware of anything just in case!

@sph97 my 6 year old is still feral 😅 running around the house in just his underwear and making noise all the time. They keep saying it gets better but I think it just gets different as they're older, just a new set of nonsense

@sph97 I’m in the same boat. My son will be 2.5 and currently if he does not have my full attention he will throw toys, hit his 5yo sister, torment the dogs, etc. here’s to hoping he really matures in the next 5 months!! He is such a mommas boy so it also breaks my heart I won’t be able to cuddle and carry him around anytime he wants. It’s not my first time through bringing home a newborn to a toddler, but my daughter who was 3 when I brought home the now 2yo brother was so much more mature and understood even the concept of a baby in my belly. The 2yo has no concept and just nods along and repeats baby belly when we tell him there a a baby in there. It will be a rude awakening for him!

@robotpopcan I have a Doppler for at home. It helps with the anxiety until you can feel the movements. Watch a couple YouTube videos and it's pretty easy to use.

@sph97 it is pretty tough bringing home the second kid. I will say my second kid was great with bringing home my third though and she was 2 at the time. My third won't even be 2 when I bring this one home and that scares me lol.

Also I just started feeling movements, I'm 17 weeks. With my first I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel anything until 24 weeks. Hang in there.

I'll have to look into an at home doppler. I had my 16 week check up and it was great, baby was moving and dancing all over the damn place though so we couldn't get a good look or picture this time around lol.

my son will be 27/28 months, and just a big mamas boy! I honestly think my feelings are just as hurt because he’s my mini best friend and it won’t just be us! I know we’ll survive the transition, I just don’t want to gaslight myself into believing it will be easy 😅

Exact same girl! We even heard the heartbeat yesterday but I’m still paranoid and constantly wondering if she’s okay in there. 😖 I can’t wait to feel flutters.

Snow day today! But it'll be an adventure because I'm remote for work and my 1st grader is remote for school. He's never had to try to log into Google classroom and I think it'll be tougher to navigate his complicated class schedule than me trying to complete these work evaluations due this week 😅 hopefully we survive until 2:30 when it'll just be me finishing up the last few hours of work

@winterecho that has to be so hard. When I had to teach remote in 2020 while 8 months pregnant with my second chasing my 2 year old it was terrible. Then having to teach remotely while my students were in school because we were exposed and quarantined with 2 kids at home, it was extra hard. Schools should just give snow days remote learning is so tough on everyone...let the kids go out and play.

@jhysmath yes I agree! Since I was working too and distracted I ended up logging him in late to one of his classes in the morning and I completely missed another one in the afternoon 🙃 it would have been so much easier to let him play outside or watch a movie

@robotpopcan I ended up caving and bought one off Amazon. It looks like a tent but at least it covers and it's warm. It has an extra panel so I can baby wear and zip while baby is inside, so it'll be handy next winter too

hoping for reliable movements any day now too. i feel like i felt a few more pops in the 14th and 15th week than i do now. early anatomy scan at 17w next week!

@sevenn if you have an anterior placements, you might not feel any until 22 ish weeks. This is my 4th and I only started feeling it at 16 weeks here and there. Now it's much more noticable and constant. My first baby was an anterior placements and I didn't definitively feel her until 25 weeks. All of my other babies have been posterior placentas though so it has worked out nicely feeling them.

Me too!! I feel like I’m constantly eating but it’s just small amounts at a time because my stomach feels so small now. If I try to eat too much I feel like a beached whale. So I look like the snack hunter all day looking for food 🤣

my anatomy scan is tomorrow and i am so excited 🥹🤩!!!! i’m so ready to see my boy moving around and hear his heartbeat, im literally so excited i feel like celebrating afterwards with a good lunch & a target run 😉😂

Baby boy is already sooooo active. Went to a doc appt and she was chasing him around just trying to hear the heartbeat. We got about 2 seconds before he moved again and she laughed and said “you heard that right?!?” He also loves to give me a swift kick when I take a deep breath or giving training in front of a big group 🤦🏾‍♀️ All of my boy mom friends are telling me to get ready for the energy when he comes!
