1. Age Now / Age at Delivery: 38 / Depends on when she actually comes, but based on due date (which is 4 days after my birthday) 39
2. FTM / STM+? If STM+, is this your first AMA? STM and second time AMA
3. How are you feeling? How is AMA affecting your pregnancy so far? I'm tired. I think that's more from having a toddler at home and just being bigger earlier in my second pregnancy than AMA, but I'm definitely tired (I think from not sleeping as well?). AMA isn't affecting my pregnancy much - since switching to midwives I don't even get many extra ultrasounds (just an extra ultrasound some time in my third trimester).
2. FTM / STM+? If STM+, is this your first AMA? yes
3. How are you feeling? How is AMA affecting your pregnancy so far? Overall, I feel fine, but I feel big and uncomfortable already. That probably has more to do with this being my third pregnancy than my age.
I honestly wish I didn't have so much extra monitoring/testing. Seems like opportunities to find things that could *potentially* be issues, but would likely end up being nothing. I've had 5 ultrasounds so far, so it has been neat to see the baby growing.
Married: May 2012 DS1: May 2016 DS2: Jan 2019 Baby #3 EDD: 6/18/24
2. FTM / STM+? If STM+, is this your first AMA? TTM, second time AMA
3. How are you feeling? How is AMA affecting your pregnancy so far? Besides taking a baby aspirin and being told I won't go to full term, there's not too much effect on the pregnancy so far.
I turn 41 next month and it's kind of mentally throwing me for a loop. When we first started trying for this baby I was 38, and our plan was to see if we could have 1 more before I turned 40, but the road ended up so much longer. I wasn't planning on starting over again at 41, and my kids are much older than I had planned. I worry about being too old to be up all night with a newborn, and about how this baby will only be 10 when my big kid leaves the house. But regardless of our plans, this baby is a blessing and I am filled with gratitude that we got here.
