Re: Pregnancy After Loss Check In - February

  • Weeks/EDD? June 12

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MC in August 2021, and then a terrible experience with an ectopic on Nov 2021

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Exhausted and anxious

Any appointment updates? Appt with MFM went great, regulars OB at the end of the month and then MFM one more time beginning of March

Any big milestones? Crazy amount of movement

Rants/Raves/Questions? Not really a question because I know we all experience this at some point. Lighter baby movement lead to extreme anxiety attack. I almost called my OB. She is making up with tons on movement now 🤪. Since children my anxiety has gone through the roof. So annoying for a fairly grounded person.

  • @farmfamily21 this is something I am really nervous about. I have an anterior placenta and I feel like I started feeling the baby around 18 weeks. The baby was pretty active for a week then I didn’t feel anything the next week. I had my anatomy scan that week and everything was good. Now I sometimes feel him on days and sometimes I don’t. I am nervous because I don’t really have any way to tell if the baby is ok because the movements are so inconsistent. But my Dr isn’t worried and says they don’t start kick counts until 3rd trimester. So I am trying to stay calm
  • @farmfamily21 That's so nerve wracking. It happens to me ocassionally too when baby girl is not as busy as I'm expecting at a certain time of day. I talked to an OB nurse from my health insurance the other day and she said that while they don't recommend kick counts at this stage, if the baby ever went quiet I should eat something and lay down until I feel her, and call my OBGYN if I don't. She emphasized that it never hurts to call for a check, even if it's just for peace of mind.

    Weeks/EDD? 22+4 / June 14

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Spontaneous loss at 6 weeks in Aug/Sep 2021, MMC with D&C at 12 weeks in Feb 2022, CP Oct 2022

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Physically feeling pretty well. Emotionally recovering from finding out we're high risk and being put on restrictions. I was seriously stressed at first, but I've been working on the anxiety in therapy, and feeling better each day as we inch towards viability. Holding on to that hope that the situation will improve.

Any appointment updates? Regular OBGYN at the end of the month, MFM/ultrasound at 28 weeks

Any big milestones? Just really excited and amazed to be more than half way through!
