Possible early miscarriage? Looking for positive outcomes

Just had my first ultrasound (TV) at what we thought was our 8 weeks visit. The doctor was not happy with what they found said it’s either very early pregnancy at 6 weeks, early miscarriage or blighted ovum. However we know my last menstrual cycle was 12/15/23 and we conceived with positive ovulation predictors the week after Christmas….has anyone had this and had a positive outcome? I have to wait 11 days (2/21) for another ultrasound to determine….Please share some positivity, praying the baby is just 6 weeks 🙏🏼

Hi. On my first ultrasound, per my last menstrual cycle, I should have been 8 weeks along. My doctor told be the baby was measuring at 7 rather than 8, and scheduled me to come back in two weeks. The ultrasound after that, our baby measured at 9 weeks and had a visible heartbeat (although the doc says it’s still too early to track the beats per minute) + small wiggles. Not sure what factors into later implantation, but hopefully you have a similar case to this 🙂 blessings to you!

Easier said than done, but try not to stress. That helps nothing. It's insane how stressful and anxious pregnancy can be and the fact that those emotions don't benefit baby seems cruel.
I never go in with a date for them. I tell them I'm not sure and let the tech figure it out. They go off the ultrasound regardless. The one time I was sure they told me I was wrong and the baby showed up on the 17th not the 29th as I had predicted via my timeline.
Hopefully you are in a similar situation. Who knows maybe you'll get that surprise 2 weeks early as well. Sure was nice to be done earlier than anticipated. Haha
