Re: Healthy Habits w/o Nov 6

  • @maggiemadeit - I’ve been focusing on trying to eat whole and nourishing foods and keep up with drinking 10-12 cups of water a day. So far it has been keeping me feeling well 😊

I also made a concerted effort to look at my beauty regimen and the products I was using on a daily basis and was honestly shocked at the toxicity I found in these products. I used the “Yuka” app for scanning barcodes. It led to me getting rid of 3/4 of my personal care products. While this was a rather extreme end of the spectrum I went to, it made the most sense for myself and my long-term health.

Have you made any heath goals for yourself?

  • @feli14 I did something similar while we were in the long process of trying to get pregnant. My biggest shock was all the toxins in my household cleaning products!

My forever health goal is to get 30 minutes of movement daily. Any kind counts.

Unfortunately I’ve not been feeling great so only managed it 4 times this week. I am normally a runner, but the last week or 2 I have been sticking to lower impact options because whenever I run I throw up! Really looking forward feeling better and to getting some energy back in the second trimester!
  • Hopefully you feel some relief soon and start feeling better. I know that movement/ exercise is something I’ll need to work a bit more on. Group cardio fitness is my favourite but that’s not possible at the moment. I’ve been trying to get i lunchtime walks while at work but it has been cold!

Same - I am just trying to get at least 30 minutes of walking and fresh air a day. For both physical and mental health! Hopefully we both are back to our running shoes soon :)
  • My main health goal is to improve my overall fitness and incorporate more nutritious meals into my diet.
I've started a consistent workout routine that includes a mix of cardio and strength training. Additionally, I'm focusing on portion control and making smarter food choices, opting for whole foods and plenty of veggies.
I successfully resisted the temptation of ordering takeout and instead cooked a delicious and healthy homemade stir-fry. It felt great to make a nutritious meal from scratch!
I tried a new HIIT workout this week, and it was challenging but invigorating. As for recipes, I discovered a tasty quinoa salad with a variety of colorful vegetables – a perfect blend of flavors and nutrients.
