Trying to Get Pregnant

IF Testing & Treatment w/o Jan 15

**This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Re: IF Testing & Treatment w/o Jan 15

  • Diagnosis (if you've been): low Amh, autoimmune issues and RPL

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): TI - medicated cycle

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): clomid!

How are things going?: my chart looks promising!

Any questions?: my LH has been high and multiple positive OPKs at different points- anyone have this happen?

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Feel free to share some pics!
We have four cats and two dogs (a corgi and a collie) the one on the table is not allowed on the table and is fully sitting on a book called “bad kitty.”  Pictures in spoiler

  • @charmedlifex3 omg is your “bad” kitty a tortie??? I’m getting strong tortitude vibes 😂

    Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched: Benched

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): PGT-M test development

How are things going?: Things are good, just eager/anxious to get started. Bumping acupuncture up to 2x a week in an effort to get my head on straight; otherwise, just more of the same!

    Any questions?:

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Feel free to share some pics!

We have two cats, a 5(ish)-year-old tortie and a 1.5-year-old orange “kitten.” [He’s not really a kitten anymore, he’s stupid tall and weighs like 5 pounds more than his sister, but he’ll always be my baby.] Introductions last year were rough but now they mostly like each other, thank goodness. They’ve been battling a cold the last few weeks, which is always a little sad to see but also I’m secretly happy because it makes them extra cuddly 😸 Photos in spoiler.

  • Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): TI

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Starting the process of embryo adoption!

How are things going?: Great! Really excited to move forward! I have an appointment with an RE in a few weeks to establish myself as a patient with the clinic that the embryo agency works with. In the meantime, we have some literature we are supposed to read and we will start working on a family profile to show the donor families.

    Any questions?: Nope

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Feel free to share some pics!
We all seem to have orange and tortoiseshell cats lol. Ours are brother and sister and are 2 1/2 years old.

  • @britters314 It really is the superior combo of cat!
  • That’s so funny we all basically have the same cats. 😂😂😂
@aisleofviewtwo yup. She’s also my MILs cat who we inherited when she passed so she’s big mad about not being a spoiled little old lady’s cat. We don’t split a rotisserie chicken with her, let her eat our sandwiches or stay home all day to cuddle and read. The audacity.

  • @britters314 I was so enamored of the kitties, I forgot to reply to your actual TTGP news. I’m so glad you guys are feeling so good about embryo adoption!! Am I understanding correctly that you’ll need to be selected by a donor? Did they give you a sense of what timeline you can expect?

@charmedlifex3 Aww, poor thing, I imagine it’s been quite an adjustment for her!
  • @aisleofviewtwo Yes, we have to be chosen by a donor family. Someone from the agency will look at our preferences and match us up with a donor family, then they show our profile to the donor family. If the donor family says yes, they show us the donor family’s info and we can say yes or no. Usually this process takes 2-3 months, but we are more open to things than other adopting families are so it could be quicker for us.
  • MID-WEEK UPDATE: TEST DEVELOPMENT IS COMPLETE, HOORAY! THUNDERCATS ARE GOOOOOOO!!
  • All of these pet photos are giving me life  <3:smiley:

    @aisleofviewtwo let's gooooooo!!!!!

Diagnosis (if you've been): clotting and immune issues

    Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): TI

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): regular TI this cycle, might be moving to medicated TI for the next cycles

How are things going?: I had my follow up with the RI on Tuesday. I have the green light again for another 8 weeks. He suggested working with my OB or RE to have my ovulation monitored via ultrasound to confirm I'm actually ovulating. I'm literally in my FW now so we can't do it for this cycle but I will certainly message my OB soon about that. The RI also doesn't think I need an endo scratch but I think I will still pursue that anyway. If we go another 8 weeks with no pregnancy then we're on a med break.

    Any questions?: nah

GTKY: Do you have any pets? Feel free to share some pics!
We have a red eared slider turtle, some sunfish, and a cat! Up until the end of the year we did also have a hedgehog but he passed and now we're done with having hedgehogs as pets. For the lurkers and long-timers, we had a pair of brothers we called The Spikey Boys :D. If I get around to it I will add pics!
