Any cravings? Healthy recipes that are making you feel good? Foods that are helping ease symptoms? Found any cool substitutions for foods you can’t eat while prego?
@HGRich cereal is life when pregnant 🫶🏻 when I was having my son I’d eat 2 bowls for breakfast haha! don’t eat that much anymore but it’s usually my late night snack before bed! I need to get some more I go through cereal brand phases 🤣
Cereal was one of my first cravings, with Cap’n Crunch early on 😆 not the most nutritious choice, I know! I have a bowl of some other (slightly less sugary) cereal most days now, though.
@louloumama I’ve had so many boiled eggs too. I keep telling myself I need to chill on those because if I get GD again I’ll be eating them constantly. Lol.
Lately, my go-to comfort craving has been the simplest of foods, like grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of pickles. I swear, there's something magic about that combo during pregnancy that just hits the spot. And speaking of healthy recipes, I've been really into making smoothies loaded with spinach, berries, a banana, and a splash of almond milk. It's like my morning ritual now to combat queasiness and keep those vitamins coming in for the little one.
I've also had to find a workaround for my love of sushi - cue the cucumber rolls and avocado rolls! They’ve been a fantastic substitute when I'm dining out with friends, and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on the sushi experience.
Re: What My Pregnant Self is Eating 1/17
Also, not a craving, but eating a lot of hard boiled eggs as a quick and easy protein source without a very eggy smell.
The day before that I topped some ancient grain crackers with cream cheese and sardines lol.
I weirdly enjoyed them!
