Acyclovir and Pregnancy

Hi ladies, 

Does anyone take Acyclovir for daily suppression for HSV? This is my first pregnancy and wanted to know if anyone has taken it and had healthy pregnancies and babies? 

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    It’s safe during pregnancy. My OB and I originally decided to take it only during a suspected outbreak/feeling one come on in the 3rd trimester. That was 12 years ago though- all my pregnancies have had the same plan but I haven’t had outbreaks for 6+ years now.

    it is safe! My sister was instructed to take hers during her 3rd trimester to ensure no breakouts during delivery. She had her baby Aug of 22! Vaginal delivery, 100% safe. She is also still breastfeeding! 
    I get cold sores and my doc said it was okay to take to clear my cold sores during pregnancy as well.
