Sudden food allergy- 2nd trimester- baby #2

This is so bizarre, and maybe I’m crazy, but it seems like every single time I have a carbonated beverage I get insanely sick. Vomiting and diarrhea, to the point now where I’ve needed IV fluids twice.

Did anyone experience this in pregnancy? I was fine with my first pregnancy so I find this very odd. Or maybe it’s just bad luck?

  • So, check out if it’s the fructose. High fructose is hard to digest and can cause stomach issues and IBS symptoms. At this point I would just fully avoid the trigger.

If it’s diet too I would think it’s a reaction to a common ingredient like carbonation or the other ingredients.

  • After delivering my son I could no longer eat pasta! I cut out gluten and slowly introduced it back and never had any issues except with pasta :(  not sure why it happens
  • My friend became allergic to coconut midway through her first pregnancy. The allergy never went aware and her oldest is 7. She doesn't get anaphylactic but she breaks out in bad hives and rashes
  • I became lactose intolerant with my first pregnancy. Got Better after I delivered. My daughter is now confirmed lactose intolerant though so it kinda made sense
