Question About HCG Levels

On 11/29 I had a faint positive pregnancy test. I went for a blood test and my HCG levels were at 32.
The doctor rechecked on 12/1, and the levels had only risen to 35. Doctor said this was cause for concern.
We checked again on 12/4 and this time they shot up to 99.
We checked again today 12/6 and now I'm at 226.
Am I progressing normally, or should I still be concerned about the low rate of growth at the beginning? I am currently only 2 days past my expected period start date.
