  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 5/2 22 weeks!

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Baby is the size of a (an): coconut or as tall as a paper towel roll!

    Team blue/pink/green: pink 💕

    Upcoming Appointments: 1/17

How are you feeling?: good! I get occasional leg/hip/back pain when I’m on my feet a lot but other than that fine. I got randomly nauseous/dizzy the other night but idk if that’s because I was dehydrated & hadnt eaten enough during the day.

Rants/Raves: my son was very blessed with toys so he’s been busy playing! I’ve been working on cleaning up the house. We are going to take pics at a Christmas display in the town over. It has a cute historic downtown and lights my MIL wants to go!

    Questions: none

GTKY: How was your holiday? Favorite gift(s)?
Christmas was overall good! Lots of gifts for everyone. I got pissed at H though because I was trying to rest/take a short nap and he woke me up to change our son. Like dude I let you sleep all the time leave me alone! Anyway he made it up to me today by getting me coffee. I just wish he would do things like diaper changes on his own. He better pitch in with the baby!!!!
I got 2 pairs of maternity leggings and a bunch of shirts so I’m excited to wear them. They’re long and stretchy. I also got 2 pairs of boots, a bidet (lol),big sweatshirts, a bunch of other things. My mom went a little crazy with the gifts. I’m not complaining but I know she can’t really afford it

Baby is the size of a (an): banana

    Team blue/pink/green: green

Upcoming Appointments: 1/2 (anatomy scan next week!)

How are you feeling?: A little tired from Christmas festivities, but mostly pretty good. My hips have been hurting when I sleep, but I think it has to do with not getting in as much exercise the last couple days

Rants/Raves: I'm finally pretty sure I'm feeling the baby moving now (as opposed to random muscle twitches and spasms), which is exciting!

    Questions: none

GTKY: How was your holiday? Favorite gift(s)? Despite not getting to see my parents (they are recovering from covid and flu), it was a really nice holiday. H's aunt and uncle very generously hosted us and we had a lot of fun with them and their kids. I was nervous about how our dog (who is a grumpy old man) would do with their dog, but he did better than I expected and I'm so proud of him. We got so many presents, far more than we expected or needed, but are feeling very blessed. I especially love a month by month picture frame H's family got us for the baby and a fancy new water bottle that I have already washed and started using.

    Baby is banana sized

    Team blue

Upcoming appointment: 1/3 with the MFM for growth scan

Feeling: better this week. Physically and mentally. I wish the sun would come out to help. I’ve noticed a lot of symptoms of perinatal anxiety and I’m going to have to decide if I want to keep working through it without going back on Lexapro. I’ve not been pregnant since my PTSD diagnosis so the mental health aspect of it is different. Not necessarily worse, since I was going through some awful stuff when I was carrying my other two, but different.

Rant: haven’t seen the sun in a week. Rave: DH is off all week so we’ve all just been chilling as a family and it is delightful.

GTKY: I really appreciated the the AirTag for my AirPods DH got me. I lose the things all the time and now it’ll be much easier to find them. Plus he got me an adapter so I can listen to music in the car (the downside is that now the kids can insist on Elmo and Frozen and whoever else again.) He also got and installed for me a new shower head which is much nicer than the old one.
  • @virtaur OMG I would see red if I was woken from a nap to change a diaper. Like get that weaponized incompetence shit out of here. Lord.
Honestly jealous of the bidet. Lmao. It’s amazing what things become exciting when we’re adults.

@kamikazezoomy my hips have always hurt at night while pregnant, all three kids. I think it’s partly because I’m forced to sleep on my side when I’m normally a stomach sleeper, and then cosleeping after they’re born means having to sleep on my side even longer and it’s so painful. But once they’re about six months and my boobs calm down I can sleep on my stomach sometimes and they’re also out of my bed around then. But I’m also going to get some pelvic floor pt postpartum and they may have something to say about caring for my hips too.
  • @HGRich yay for family time!! I’m sorry about the anxiety though, do you plan on going back on medication at all after the baby is born? & he got all mad at me for giving him attitude. He doesn’t ever understand that I need a decent amount of sleep. I had gotten up early that morning so I was feeling sleepy. It was so ridiculous lol I’m excited for the bidet because of the whole not being able to wipe down there situation after V birth . I still have to install it. It’s rose gold because I’m fancy like that 🤣

@kamikazezoomy yay for anatomy scan so soon & feeling baby! Im glad you had a good holiday 💕 aren’t new water bottles the best??? I got a 40 oz one to hopefully help me drink more water especially for BF! And I’m going to bring it to the hospital so my water stays cold!

Baby is the size of a (an): piece of string cheese lol

    Team blue/pink/green: pink 🩷

    Upcoming Appointments: Jan 10

How are you feeling?: I'm feeling awesome! I love the holidays and currently enjoying a week off from work 🎄

Rants/Raves: we just had our anatomy scan today and it was so nice to see baby again. 🩷 She's developing right on track, we got to see all her fingers and toes, though we had to wait till the end of the appointment to see her face, she was hiding it behind her hands most of the time lol. I'm amazed at how quickly the sonographers identify and label all the organs and body parts. She measured in at 9oz and 15cm, and loved pushing out with her legs (which I am totally feeling now!!)

Not much to rant about other than my legs/knees/hips hurt so bad at night 🥲 I have to get up and walk around in the dark before I can get comfortable enough to go back to sleep. It also happens if I nap on the couch for more than an hour

    Questions:

GTKY: How was your holiday? Favorite gift(s)?

Our holidays are always pretty low key which is why I enjoy them so much lol. We had my husband's parents and their dog over for Christmas Eve, we cooked a meal and spent the day chatting and playing with the pups. Christmas Day was just me and my husband watching more shows and movies, greeting faraway family, and playing board games. I also baked a cake for our pup since it was her first birthday 🐶 I'm working on the baby's nursery and other misc projects over the next few days.

We got sooooo many gifts for baby from my MIL, she crocheted some blankets and a dozen  animals and paired each one with a picture book 🥹 my husband also spoiled me with a nice footrest for under my desk (my legs never reach the floor), beautiful candles from my fave YouTuber, and some out of print comics of my favorite animated series (!!!! I don't even want to know how much he paid for these lol).

  • @virtaur I don’t know. I was on Lexapro for two years and excited to get off of it this past March.  So I’ll have to gauge how bad my postpartum issues are when the time comes I guess. I’d prefer to avoid it but I may even just go on it short term around the time I wean him at like 18mos or however long. Because weaning for me is worse than any other hormonal shift. Like psycho levels. Worse than postpartum.

And yesss postpartum a bidet will come in clutch for sure. I had a third degree tear with my first kid and a first degree with my second. If I tear again a bidet would be HANDY.
  • @HGRich they’re not bad on amazon!!! Like less than $50! & I totally understand about the meds. I hate having to take mine but I’m wretched without it and paranoid about everything so it is what it is! Would be good to be prepared for the PP & weaning period though!
