**This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Re: IF Testing & Treatment w/o Dec 18
@ejoseph16 long cycles are THE WORST
Diagnosis (if you've been): hypothyroidism, unexplained
@ATolentino89 My HSG was scheduled for post-AF but pre-O, so depending on their IUI timeline it seems plausible that with a clear scan you could proceed in the same cycle. I’ve never IUI’d, maybe somebody else can speak to that process. As for TSH, I know people around here (maybe @inthewoods23? or @virginiaham?) have seen significant changes in just 3-4 weeks with medication. Obvi don’t rush into anything you’re not ready for! Just some anecdata to say once in a while IF treatment can actually move quickly, and there might be a way to address your concerns and also proceed with the treatment plan at the same time.
Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Benched
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): PGT-M test development
How are things going?: A-ok, just trucking along! We are actively NOT ttc at the moment but I’m still tracking temps etc. just to keep an eye on my cycle for timing, and this cycle has had more EWCM and a higher post-O BBT than I’ve ever seen. Not sure if it’s the Synthroid finally kicking in or the supplements we started a month ago or the reduced stress or all of the above, but it’s got me feeling cautiously optimistic that our spring retrieval will go well.
In less exciting news, we travel to see in-laws for the holidays and this will be our first time seeing them since we had to break the news about our shared carrier status. Bracing myself now for all the insensitive comments and questions. (After explaining the PGT-M/IVF process to MIL she quipped, “the old-fashioned way sounds a whole lot simpler!”) 😑
Any questions?:
GTKY: Who knows you the best? Probably my oldest friend. We’ve known each other since early high school and just been through enough stuff together that it feels like she gets me without my having to explain anything, and we can always pick up exactly where we left off no matter how long it’s been.
@britters314 My cat senses that I’m feeling down long before my husband catches on!
@atol@ATolentino89 my husband is the same way.
@ejoseph16. Hi! I can't remember if we actually interacted or I just remember you from being a dirty lurker. I'm sorry about the post-MC madness. I haven't been paying attention, so sorry if you said this already. Were your betas tracked to zero? I had one MC where they took *forever* to go back down and I didn't have a period for 3 months. Hoping that's not the case for you and your body is just taking a second to re-adjust and will cooperate soon.
@britters314. Interesting on the herbs-- I have done acupuncture on and off over the whole fertility timeline, but I've never taken the herbs because my acupuncturist doesn't like prescribing to people who might get pregnant, I think just out of an abundance of caution. But I have always been really curious about them. Do you feel different on them?
@ATolentino89 Ugh I'm sorry that scenario (dream then BFN) seems terrible. Seems wise to get your TSH under control because of MC risks, but it's always annoying to have more delays.
@aisleofviewtwo Omg on the "old fashioned way" comment. Like I would actually punch them. "Sorry I don't want my kid to have a horrible debilitating disease" FFS.
@charmedlifex3 Ditto on can't remember if my memory of you is from actual (virtual) human interaction or lurking. But hello! (Maybe I remember all of my fellow RPL-ers because it's such a sh*tty club!) Good luck on moving to IVF-- though hopefully you won't need it! Sorry your insurance is being the worst. I swear dealing with IVF clinics and insurance is like a full-time job.
Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, DOR
I also realized that I felt really lonely this time because before when I was going through IVF I had friends on this board! (Hi @inthewoods23 !)
*tw mention preg and mc and all the rest*
Anyway I'm prepping for the next transfer with a lot more humility, and trying to have more of an acceptance that I just don't know what will happen.
