7 week old very extra sleepy?

My son is 7 weeks old and recently went through (and may still be going through) a growth spurt. He didnt sleep much on some days and ate a lot. Was very alert and engaged. Yesterday he began falling asleep at feedings and did so all day. Seems very drowsy. Still plays a little but begins to fall asleep while playing. No fever. Still finishes his feedings (i pump and supplement with formula). Has a good amount of wet and dirty diapers. Is this change in demeanor/ tiredness normal?  My friends say its part of the growth spurt. Just worried im missing something.

    This happened with my little guy during his last growth spurt! He fought sleep for an entire day/night and it’s like he needed the next day to catch up. He slept so much that following day and I could barely get him to wake up to eat. Growth spurts are so hard! It really throws them off and it’s easy to assume something is wrong (I say this as a mom who still does that all the time). I think as long as he’s eating and needing regular diaper changes, he’s likely okay. That being said, you can ask your pediatrician about it if you’re super concerned or maybe if it continues for more than a few days. Good luck, mama! You’re not alone!
