Re: Weekly Check-In 12/4

  • Whoops! Forgot to post the check in last week.

    EDD / Weeks + Days: 34 + 5    Jan 11th

    FTM/STM/TTM+: First Time

Baby is the size of a (an): Butternut Squash

    Team blue/pink/green: Pink

Upcoming Appointments: Just had one this morning. Belly is measuring spot on, good heartbeat and little girl is head down! I'll have my last US and my Strep B swab 2 weeks from today.

How are you feeling?: Pretty good! Recovering from my shower last weekend, it was so much fun but EXHAUSTING. lol. Feeling the love from having so many friends and family in town. In a good place mentally as well, was able to see a cardiologist after getting some unsettling news 2 weeks ago- after a check up seems like everything is going to be ok with my and baby's heart but still going to do some more tests just to be safe!

Rants/Raves: Feeling the pressure of being in the home stretch! Two of the gals in my prenatal yoga class delivered 5+ weeks early which has lit a fire under my butt to get stuff done. Hoping to at least have my hospital bag packed by EOW if nothing else.

Questions: Has anyone started having cervical checks done at their OB appts? Mine said she usually doesn't start them until week 38 but curious if anyone has gotten a different response.

    Team blue/pink/green: Blue

Upcoming Appointments: 34 wk appt next week and will be the getting rhogam shot.

How are you feeling?: I’m feeling large and not in charge lol my energy is hanging in there and my mood has mostly been good. The heartburn and heat waves are a doozy though.

Rants/Raves: Idk how I’m supposed to do this for another 7 weeks, but also idk if I’m ready to be a mom in just 7 weeks!!!

Questions: I posted separately about perineal massage and was wondering if anyone has experience with this and if they found it (or are finding it) helpful.
  • @knottie61d3997e5d5013ee I feel you on the heatwaves!

I haven't done perineal massage nor do I know anyone who has tried it- hopefully someone who has chimes in!

Baby is the size of a (an): pineapple

    Team blue/pink/green: pink

Upcoming Appointments: 36 week prenatal, NST + AFI check

How are you feeling?: other than occasionally feeling like I have concrete in my legs or a tennis ball in my crotch I have no complaints! No aches/pains/symptoms really and I’ve only gained about 10 lbs so even though I am definitely bumped I’m not uncomfortable overall

Rants/Raves: I am so back and forth on induction versus c section bc there are so many negatives and positives to both and my doctors want me to deliver at 39 weeks due to this being an IVF pregnancy. The back and forth is overwhelming because there is no “right” answer!

Questions: Thoughts on induction versus c section?
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 33 +6

    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

Baby is the size of a (an): celery stalk

    Team blue/pink/green: blue

    Upcoming Appointments: Tuesday Dec 12

How are you feeling?: Tired! I’m so exhausted, I work full time as a PE teacher, my two other kiddos are 6 and 3 (both boys) and between their sports and activities, getting ready for Xmas and everything else I am soooooo ready for mat leave!

Rants/Raves: prenatal massage by an RMT for the win!!! I have been seeing my RMT every week since 30 weeks and honestly, what a blessing! If you are on the fence, get the massage!

Questions: varicose/spider veins- with each of my pregnancies they have gotten worse, only in one leg, my doc said she could do compression stocking but that medically it’s not known to make much difference… thoughts?
