Is 12 weeks too early for gender reveal party?

We are one week away from our NIPT blood test, where we can find out the sex of our baby. This is our rainbow baby and we are so excited to celebrate every milestone. However, we are seeing most recommend reveals at 18ish weeks. Is this outdated? Is 12 weeks too early? I’m sure there’s really no hard core rules, but curious to know if there’s something I’m not realizing or considering that I’m not aware of and would love y’all’s perspective!

    18 weeks is probably recommended because it's more typical to find out the gender at the anatomy scan around that time. With my first, I never had the NIPT so we found out at the anatomy scan at 21 weeks

    Would it be for just really close friends and family? If you're sharing it with those most important to you then I say go for it! You should celebrate all the milestones
