The soreness in my boobs shot up yesterday! It was so bad that after work I went straight to Target to find a maternity bra I was thinking of buying on Amazon. I didn't want to wait a few days but even with the sizing chart it's still too small so I'm hoping to exchange it today after work.
It's cool though because it's got 1 flap to put down with the little holes to turn it into a pumping bra (I went DIY with a sports bra and scissors the first time) and then another flap for breastfeeding. Hopefully they have the next size up!
I had my 6 wk scan yesterday and I am over the moon. Baby is in right spot and I even got to see the little heart just a beating away. It was my mom's birthday and DH had to work so she got to be the first to see it beating besides me.
Anyone not as excited to announce as their partner? This is baby #2. My first appointment isn’t until after New Years because my OB is booked. My husband wants to tell the entire family at Christmas, when I suggested to wait until after our scan he said there is no reason to keep it a secret. We’ll probably announce since my family lives out of state, but I was way more giddy my first pregnancy. I’m a definitely more stressed this one, and don’t want to hear any back handed comments I guess since we just sold our home to start building- and this baby is a surprise. Our first took us 2 years and fertility treatments so everyone knew we were trying.
My husband told everyone our first pregnancy and then learned the hard way why I told him to wait because we had a miscarriage at 12 weeks and now he had to go back to the people he told and untell them. It hurt him a lot. He waited until 12 weeks with all of our other kids. This time, a surprise 4th, he thinks we should hold off telling people as long as we can hide it, and say surprise here's a baby. I'm thinking I'll still tell my family because they don't live in our state and his family will likely figure it out as we see his mom and brother all the time. He's partially afraid of the negative comments because this is a 4th and we said we were done done.
We had a MC before I got approved for treatments to have our first. We told family and a week later MC’d at 7 weeks. I’m just worried that will happen again and his logic is either way (good news or bad) we would be telling them, so it makes sense. He’s definitely a more glass half full in this scenario lol.
