EDD / Weeks + Days: 5/2 per doc, but measuring 15+1

    FTM/STM/TTM+: stm
Baby is the size of a (an): orange 🍊
    Team blue/pink/green: pinkie 💗
Upcoming Appointments: 11/22 for checkup & bloods
How are you feeling?: overall good! My depression symptoms have been on and off though so that’s been a battle, I’m going to see if I can get someone to talk to soon because a lot has been coming to the surface recently. Physically I’m enjoying second tri before the dreaded third lol.
Rants/Raves: rave - even though I have an anterior placenta I’m pretty sure I can feel baby movements here and there (towards the bottom, my placenta is at the top). So that’s exciting! I’m also assuming that I’m bumping now, definitely looks more like a 21ish week bump but since I had leftover belly I’m not surprised. Let’s start HDBD tomorrow!
Questions: is anyone planning on taking any classes? I generally know what to expect but learning coping techniques etc would be nice. I struggled with how long my induction was and was so tired by the time I got to4 cm I couldn’t go on anymore and tapped out for the epi. But I’m curious to see if I can last longer if labor is shorter! (And my husband helps more!)

GTKY: favorite fall soup or other recipe?
I don’t really make soup, idk why, but I do enjoy it. A nice comfort meal is chicken & noodles in the crockpot, we have it over mashed potatoes to up the comfort factor and it’s definitely filling & cozy.

(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: finding out soon! Waiting on NIPT results

Upcoming Appointments: just had one on 11/3 for a checkup and NIPT / next checkup is 12/1

How are you feeling?: nauseas on and off. Acid reflux.

Rants/Raves: It was great to hear baby’s heartbeat at my last checkup! It was so loud and strong, very comforting that the OB was able to find it so quick 😊 I’m impatiently awaiting my NIPT results to know whether we’re having a boy or girl!! I feel like it helps me connect with baby so much once I know the gender

Questions: my checkup was super quick, they didn’t even go over symptoms. Last pregnancy I was with a midwife and we went over symptoms at every appointment. Will the rest of the OB checkups be that brief, and not go over symptoms?

GTKY: favorite fall soup or other recipe? I really love making this scalloped potatoes recipe during the fall and winter: https://food52.com/recipes/32682-todd-coleman-s-potato-gratin

They usually ask me how I’m feeling. I would just mention that you want to talk about the symptoms you’re having especially if you need relief! My checkups have always been quick too unless we have something specific to talk about.

    EDD / Weeks + Days: 14 weeks

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM 😊

Baby is the size of a (an): peach

(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: Green 💗💙

    Upcoming Appointments: Fri 11/15

How are you feeling?: overall getting better! Still pretty tired overall and on/off nauseous feeling, but it isn't too bad. I think I have started feeling some round ligament pain too. It helps to do stretches!

Rants/Raves: so excited to be in the second trimester! Really looking forward to feeling the baby move/kick :)

Questions: how did your work react to telling them you were pregnant? I am feeling a little nervous & need to notify them soon!

GTKY: favorite fall soup or other recipe? I love carrot/tomato/roasted red pepper soup 😊 so good with a grilled cheese!

Team: blue! We got our testing results back last week. I was neutral about whether we’d have a boy or girl since I have one of each already, but I will say boy names are much harder for me!

    Upcoming: 11/16

Feeling: not bad. Tired. I can’t wait for the gagging all the time to go away and for my stomach to settle.

Rave: I’m feeling little flutters. I love it. I felt them on the earlier side with my other two also, and of course they say you feel sooner with subsequent kids.

GTKY: I think I’m just a fan of the classic chicken noodle, chicken and wild rice, potato soup, etc. I don’t do chili because I don’t like beans, and if I made it without I’m not sure anyone else would eat it. Lol. But I do love soup season.
  • @knottiecd605803a6e89165 the practice I went to with my first two kids rushed me a lot. Different doctor each time and very impersonal and rushed. The one I’m at now is all-female and much more mother-oriented. I haven’t felt rushed at all. So personally I think we deserve to not feel rushed and to be able to ask our questions. If you can bring a notepad with a list of things you want to talk about maybe visually checking it off in their presence would show them you mean business and that you have a list and they’d better be prepared, it might help.

  • @virtaur, I think the hospital that we will be going to offers classes. If so, I will probably go for that. I still need to call and schedule a tour and find out about classes! Starting to get stressed about things I've been putting off until I'm "further along" because it's really time to focus on some of it now or very soon.

@mar11btf, I am planning on telling work next week. Symptoms hit hard this week, so I kind of want them to know soon. I've thought over what I want to ask for pertaining to any accommodations or maternity leave so that I can go in with some talking points and questions. I am in a good mindset that I will not ever be apologetic for being pregnant, feeling sick, or needing personal time or adjustments for myself of my family! It's a normal human experience and workplaces need to do better to support their employees.
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 6/5 10 and 1

FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM+ this will be our 4th living and my 7th pregnancy

Baby is the size of a (an): Prune

(Only If you know already!) Team blue/pink/green: Green for now hopefully the whole way :)

Upcoming Appointments: was supposed to be yesterday but they moved it to next week 😭

How are you feeling?: Horribly Nauseous  finally got medication though but it knocks me out so I can only take it in the evening.

    Rants/Raves: so over the exhaustion.

    Questions:

GTKY: favorite fall soup or other recipe? (I don’t think we have any aussies in here. If so, sorry!). I love white chicken chili but I don’t have a good recipe yet.

  • @virtaur hang in there with the mental health! It can be so so hard. Here for you anytime. My anxiety is fluctuating so bad and I am desperately missing my adhd medication.

@mar11btf I told my boss early on only since I was needing to take unexpected time off here and there for multiple appointments. She has been so incredibly supportive and thoughtful.

@HGRich yes give me all the soups especially chicken wild rice! It’s already cold up here in North Dakota haha
