Canadian Moms

Wondering if there are any Canadian Moms to be in this thread? I keep seeing all of these posts and differences in how American Moms don’t even see a doctor until 8-10 weeks etc. Just overall different care practices and wanted to know if there are any other Canadians! 🇨🇦

    Hi! :) I'm Canadian, from Toronto, ON. My first OB appointment will be at 14 weeks! The wait times for OB are excessive, but I have no complaints. My family doctor has been supportive and taking good care of me.

    I'm also in Canada (but not Canadian...yet)! Based in Victoria, BC. We're on a waitlist for a family doctor, but luckily it's not too hard to find an OB or midwife :)

    Kitchener Ontario here! We are and IVF baby so we had a lot of early monitoring but long wait to get in to my OB too. I don't see her until 16 weeks. But my family doc has been my main provider in the meantime.

    Hi from Vancouver, BC! First pregnancy and lucky enough to already have a family doctor. Still haven't seen an OB but I am awaiting a call. (Apparently they like to see you around 16-18 weeks) I already got a 10 week ultrasound so at least I have something to look at while I wait. 🤪

    Just finished my 2 hour glucose test! Lifelabs appointments book out way in advance, so I ended up having to wait nearly two hours as a walk-in to even begin my test!! Now I feel tired and crappy, haha.

    @cioccolata16 Guuuuuh! That sounds terrible. But it's done and over with! How was the drink?? I've heard it's pretty nasty. (I have mine in 2 weeks)

    I actually wasn’t too bothered by the drink; maybe it was all the juice I’ve been having lately. But I did have an elevated pulse, some hot flashes, and dizziness after the second blood draw. Luckily, I don’t have gestational diabetes (just low iron)!
