Definitely don’t feel ready and feel like we’re falling behind 😭 I’m worried the nursery won’t be done in time!! My husband was supposed to be finished with his projects by the end of September and I think he still has a good three weeks to go. Baby is going to sleep in our room for a few months but would be good to get the crib, dresser, and nursing chair all assembled. I’ve been so antsy of wanting everything setup I’ve pretty much organized all the burp cloths, towels. swaddles, onesies, wipes, diapers, etc. in drawer organizer bins.
We pretty much have the room set up other than a few odds and ends. But I have almost NOTHING other than that! I have been told to wait to buy things until after the baby shower which isn't until Nov. 5th. I am so very grateful to my sister's for planning it and our friends and family wanting to support us. It's just making me a little nervous not having the supplies we will need. Then having only a month 🤞🏻 to get what wasn't gifted to us, during the busiest part of the shopping season! It's giving me a little anxiety because I hate shopping lol. I am trying to get one or two of the things I know we will need but between work and being pregnant I'm so tired, shopping is honestly the last thing I feel like doing. I know shopping online is an option but sometimes I find the quality disappointing and I know myself I never return things online and I don't want to be wasteful.
Got all the baby clothing washed and organized. My diaper stations are set up around the house. I have some bottles to sanitize and put away, but other than that, we are ready. Mostly just panicking about how much longer I have to be pregnant. I have felt absolutely terrible the past two days. I don't know how much longer I can do this.

The nursery furniture is assembled and setup, but we still have to add a few touches like blackout curtains and small decor items. Nothing else is ready though. I don’t have anything washed or organized yet. We don’t have much stuff yet. I’m hoping we will get a lot of things at our baby shower next week, but we will have a lot to purchase if not. I have a strong urge to buy things, but I am trying to wait until after the shower. I also feel overwhelmed by all the things still left to do — wash, sanitize, clean, organize everything plus pack hospital bag and diaper bag. So much to do!!!
@clt2pwm11 Keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed for you! It sounds like you're as ready as you can be.
The nursery is not something I'm personally concerned about. Neither of my first two children even had a nursery until they were 1. The bedside bassinet can be set up in 5 minutes. I just need to re-wash the sheets in December. What I don't have is somewhere to put Baby's clothes/things, which IS causing me stress. Previously I cleaned out some of my drawers, but our closet in this house is smaller, so I don't have space. I want to move a cupboard from downstairs up to my room, but I can't do that until we move a different closet, which is dependent on my husband (less than 50% chance it will happen before baby comes). Therefore my current plan is to clean off my desk (in my bedroom) and stack clothes in clear plastic boxes on top of it, or move the nursery closet down from the attic and shove it in a corner in my room. Classy Actually, I should probably get on that before I get rounder. These panic threads are great motivation!
@booksandicecream Storing all this baby stuff with another kid in the house is truly something lol I feel like I can't walk! There's stuff everywhere and I'm very much a baby minimalist! We were already planning to build a house in the next two years. I told hubby last night we gotta start rolling once the building permit is approved. I can't imagine having a toddler up in these cramped quarters in two years haha.

@nerakh246 I'm very much in the same boat as you. We've been working throughout the week to at least get the room that's going to be the nursery cleared out so we can paint and start putting furniture together, but our shower is next weekend and I feel like we have nothing for her for when she's here. I know after next weekend we'll probably have a ton of stuff, but right now I'm starting to panic a bit...especially since they said she may need to come early.
Not too worried about the nursery. The way our room is set up the little dude will be separated by a screen when he gets big enough. For now we just have the bassinet and we have to purchase a rocking chair. Just getting the rest of things ready but I’ve got my shower next weekend
