Rants / Raves: my sprinkle was Saturday and it was really nice, small just my MIL, SIL, cousin, and myself but it was at my fav little restaurant and it was nice to have an evening out!

GTKY: Are you a morning person or a night owl?: morning person, once dinner is made I’m pretty much done. I cram as much as I can in before nap time and then get a bit done in the afternoon then I’m useless and just want to go to bed

Upcoming appointments: all the things now that baby Ari is here! I’m in the hospital until at least Wednesday. He’s in the nicu but doing well, so we’ll see.
How are you feeling: so relieved. Pregnancy after loss has been a hell of a ride, but hearing those first cries when he came out was the greatest sound I have ever heard.
Rants / Raves: rave: babies are amazing and wonderful and squishy and I am just really happy right now. Part of me can’t believe he’s already here, but I’m so glad to have him earth side. Rant: I guess a common side effect coming off the epidural is extreme itchiness, and a common medicine they use to help with that is impossible to get a hold of right now. So I’m not even in pain, just crazy itchy, and there’s not a lot they can do about it. 😡

GTKY: Are you a morning person or a night owl?: night owl, 100%. I can be dragging and exhausted from the minute I wake up, all day long, but around midnight my brain wakes up and is ready to party. It’s not the best setup.

Upcoming appointments: hopefully my last growth scan tomorrow 10/17, and then appt with my doula on Monday the 23rd, and my OB appt next Friday 10/27 I’m guessing it’s my 38 week appt? The day before I’m 38 weeks. But I opted to not have my 36/37 week appt this week since I have my ultrasound tomorrow and I’m over appts, my dr said it was fine since I’ll be seen by mfm that is sufficient enough this week 🤷🏼♀️ my weeks are all messed up at my OB anyway lol

GTKY: Are you a morning person or a night owl?: I have always been a night owl, but ever since getting pregnant this time around I go to bed earlier and wake up earlier (when I actually get sleep) but I have been able to actually get out of bed before 8/9 which used to be a struggle. Most days I would get up closer to 10! But I actually like being up earlier. We will see if this lasts once baby arrives lol

How are you feeling: Tired still, but overall good - I'm having a lot of the typical 3rd trimester aches and pains, but with 3 kids to chase, I've been trying not to slow down too much.
Rants / Raves: Raves: I am super proud of myself for ordering baby furniture and supplies. With babies starting to come, I decided it was time lol. I ordered the mini crib + mattress, mattress protector + mini crib fitted sheets, infant car seat + seat protector, and the dresser. Rants: Another mom and I hit each other turning in/out of the daycare parking lot this morning. We were both going slow, and I have mainly cosmetic damage to my car, but it wasn't the best way to start the week. I am solo parenting until late tomorrow night while DH is out of town for work, so I'm just glad it wasn't worse.
Questions: We are playing musical car seats in my SUV. I'm going to try it out once the car seat arrives, but I'm worried about DS2's leg room with his front facing car seat and the positioning of the captain's seat in front of him for the infant seat. DS1 also sits in the back row, but he has a booster seat, so his legs are positioned down. DS2 has a Graco car seat, and it tilts up with the legs dangling. Does anyone know of a good front facing car seat that doesn't have the leg tilt? I was looking at the Graco Transitionz car seat, but I can't tell how much it does or doesn't tilt. DS2 is too small for a booster seat.
GTKY: Are you a morning person or a night owl?: I asked this question, and my honest answer is neither lol. I don't like being up late, and I don't like getting up early. I'm more of a lunch person when given the opportunity lol.
@varimama Your sprinkle sounds really nice! I'm glad you had a nice evening out with family.
@shinyobjects Congratulations! There isn't anything quite like a squishy newborn to snuggle. I've never itched from my epidural, and that sounds completely awful, especially when you can't get the meds you need to fix it! I agree that PGAL is hell. DS1 and DS2 are both rainbow babies (DS2 is a double rainbow baby), and even with 3 successful pregnancies in a row it gets me sometimes.
@ashsowers2020 I hear you on doctor's appointments. I'm still every 2 weeks, but it feels like I'm always there lol.

GTKY: Are you a morning person or a night owl?: I’m a night owl. I used to work overnights when I worked on the ambulance and now that I work in an outpatient Ob-Gyn office….the struggle is real! I never get to bed/sleep at a reasonable time. And I have to get up between 5:30-6a to be to work by 745. Plus, Buffalo Bills games being late like last night don’t help 😂

Usually a night owl but at this point I’m just a sleepy bird 😂 I just want to sleep all the time but between leg cramps and needing to pee that hasn’t been the easiest lol

Interesting baby fact/Baby is the size of: Had an ultrasound yesterday because I have polyhydramnios and baby is already 6 lbs 😳
Upcoming appointments: I won an overnight stay at the hospital tomorrow (two and a half hours away) so I can get some amniotic fluid drained tomorrow … and hopefully not go into preterm labour! Should be an interesting appointment haha OB said we shouldn’t worry and I’m getting steroids just to err on the side of caution.
How are you feeling: Gigantic but ok overall. Little disappointed I got put off work early, but I understand I need to take it easy and take good care of baby and myself. I wish I had just a few more days to get things wrapped up but oh well!
Questions: Anybody else deal with polyhydramnios before? Any insight / words of encouragement appreciated!
GTKY: Are you a morning person or a night owl?: Usually a morning person, and my whole family are night owls so growing up this made for an interesting dynamic.
@makingbacon I joined some car seat groups run by CPSTs and they are super helpful for this kind of info. I’m in Canada so not sure where you are but I could send you the FB group info if you’re interested!

I've been stuck at the hospital for 3 days now. I started vomiting on Sunday basically non-stp. Nurse line told me to go to L&D. I dod and stayed fpr a while until my anxiety went out of control and i begged them to let me go home. Theybhad done evrythibv thru could - gave me 3 bags of anti-nausea med and pumped me with fluids becausr i was so dehydrated. I was told to come back in if it didnt get better though. I felt so much better Monday morning. Then it started back up. DH brought me back, they get admitted me and I'm here until after I deliver tomorrow. Haven't eaten since Saturday night, not able to drink anything (can't hold it down anyway). I'm just miserable.
On the plus side, im hoping delivering tomorrow will make me feel so much better.

Apparently he’s currently measuring over 8lbs right now 🫠. I have another ultrasound tomorrow to keep an eye on that as well as my amniotic fluid levels as they are borderline too high

Huge lol. Tons of Braxton hicks and period like cramping. Hips hurt. The boy is so far down into my pelvis that at my ultrasound two weeks ago, the had to recline the table to see his head 💀

Rants: I’m currently dealing with Medicaid nonsense regarding my daughter with severe disabilities. Trying to get it all cleared up before I go into labor. It’s just so terribly run in my county it’s maddening
Rave: I’m done nesting. Everything is ready. My husband is now on to nesting panic, though 😂. Mostly because we are moving states away in the spring and significantly downsizing so he’s on a purging warpath. I will be too but I gotta have this baby first lol

Oh! Morning person 150%! Like my ideal wake up time is 4am although I’m currently “sleeping in” until 4:40/5:00am 😅. And I’m fully aware that is insane lol. I love a cup of coffee before everyone wakes up and having a peaceful slow start to my day. I hate being out after dark lol.
@makingbacon good luck with the musical car seats. We had to do that too. Thankfully my youngest daughter is super petite so let room isn’t a huge issue yet. But my word it’s a process 😂
@medicmomma6115 congratulations on your engagement!!! That sounds like it couldn’t have been more perfect!
@mgmac I hope your hospital stay is super uneventful. We are all morning people at my house except for my youngest 😂. She could sleep until noon where the rest of us can’t even fathom sleep past 7 😂
@UnwritteN12 I’m so sorry!!! That sounds awful! I hope your C is uneventful and goes nice a smoothly. That is so much to deal with and process right at the end when you’re already feeling rough.
