Can vomiting cause spotting?

Update: Bleeding has gotten heavier with small clots. I fear we’re losing this one.

A little backstory. I’m somewhere around 6 weeks pregnant. Had ultrasound yesterday and no sac could be seen. But my cycles are irregular so implantation could have been later in cycle. Tests have been positive for over two weeks now. Going back for second betas tomorrow.

I spotted earlier this month and stopped. My vomiting was so bad today that I have stomach pains and spotting again. Is this normal? Its been 12 years since my last pregnancy and honestly I don’t remember.

  • You had an ultrasound yesterday.  It was probably an internal ultrasound.   The wand irritated the cervix. The cervix bled a bit.  You are fine.

  • Hey Dear, first and foremost, congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm not a medical professional, but spotting can sometimes happen in early pregnancy due to various reasons, and vomiting can also be common. However, it's essential to consult with your healthcare provider or OB about any concerns, especially since every pregnancy is unique. They'll be able to give guidance tailored to your specific situation and ensure both you and your baby's safety. Sending you all the best wishes! 🌸🤰 Take care!
