My almost 4 year old loves playing guess what? _______ butt. He is also very into knock knock jokes. His go to style is “knock knock. who’s there? Random noun. Random noun who? *screams same random noun*”
What is everyone doing for exercise? I've mostly kept up with the swimming (though slowing down for sure), cycle commuting (ditto), and yoga/pilates (subbing prenatal for another online class). But running just was not comfortable, and walking up hills leaves me breathless within seconds!
@cioccolata16 I can't speak highly enough about MommaStrong. I've been doing it since I was pregnant with my first in 2017 and it's been great for me. Daily 15 minute workouts that adapt to your body's needs in terms of impact and challenge, with a focus on functional movement and healing/preventing pain/injury. Lots of great bonus material and a supportive/inclusive community.

@hedgepig I've been following Pregnancy and Postpartum TV (just on youtube) since week 5, and also loving that. Usually 30 minute sessions, but she also has 15 minute stretching or toning!
@cioccolata16 I just walk a lot this time of year. We’re outside at parts or on a trail somewhere most days but it’s starting to get pretty raining and I still can’t stand being in wet clothes after 10 years in the PNW so I’ll be looking into some of these other options like pregnancy and postpartum tv soon.
I pulled out my maternity clothes today finally and none of the pants fit😭 it’s been 4.5 years since I had DS2 and I’m definitely not in my 20s anymore but damn I didn’t want to have to buy anything new this time since we’re done after this baby. Just needed to whine a little about it before I order some stuff.
Felt my first flutter of movement sitting in triage at work yesterday!! Sat and debated for a sec if it was just a gas bubble but immediately felt it again so im convinced it was baby!
@ceclarlinetlo sorry you had to buy new stuff too👎🏻 I’m hoping I’ll find some stuff at the JBF consignment sale next month and my SIL said she found great deals at goodwill. I just need to find time to go without my kids so I can actually look.
@nightnurse yayyy! I thought I was feeling little flutters last night but convinced myself I was imagining it. I can’t remember when I felt movement with the DS2 but it was definitely earlier than DS1.
You all are making me feel better about not saving my stuff from last time. I am fairly confident it wouldn't fit this time anyway! I haven't had any luck with 2nd hand, but I did order just a few very basic items that should arrive tomorrow. I am so excited for pants that fit.
Right there with y'all on the clothes, nothing fits from last time, so I just got done pants and tops. Especially since I'm leaving on a trip where I will have to wear real clothes. 😆
Also thought I felt some flutters. It's so early I didn't think it was that, but I keep feeling it, a couple times a day. I felt my first baby on the earlier side, at 17 weeks, so maybe I just have a sensitive uterus. 😂
Yay for all these flutters! @mamacricket512 i cant remember when I felt my first, but i had an anterior placenta with him and think it was on the later side. With my 2nd she was so incredibly active. I also kept a journal with her. Felt her first at 13+5 and my husband felt her kick at 17+3 and honestly she hasnt stopped moving since 😆 she is a VERY active toddler
Hey how close to your due date to you usually schedule maternity photos? We didn't do them last time because of covid. Just some front porch minis that were cute but I always wished I could have done official ones. I'm due the first week of Feb. Jc penny studio (we've used them before with a Groupon and I was happy with the results. We can't afford any of the private photogs around here ) has a maternity deal going on. I called to ask for clarification but I want to schedule it for early December so we can use the pics for Christmas cards. Is two months early too early?
cioccolata16 I’m curious too what everyone does for exercise. I’ve been going on walks around the neighborhood in the morning during my sons nap. I try to also get some abdominal exercises in too some days, just like toe taps and clams nothing crazy
