What are some of your favorites/cravings? Go-to meals/snacks? Any aversions?

  • Similar to my first! Vinegar/spice! Sweets. But I can’t eat as much at a time right now.
    currently eating cucumbers with feta & balsamic 😍 I love it with roasted red peppers too but we don’t have any right now.
    my meal at work has changed as well, some meat is not appetizing to me in first tri. I need to get some soups because I remember them being a lifeline last time when the nausea was bad. We made sushi at home last night and used cooked fish, I miss raw fish 😭 it was good but not the same !

    @virtaur speaking of soup, ramen is life during pregnancy.

  • Aversions is basically coffee. Can't stand the sell or taste.
    Currently addicted to eating apple slices and peanut butter, pickles and apple on white bread. So random :p
  • @babykaste coffee is usually my jam but not during this pregnancy! I always want it but once I start drinking it my stomach doesn’t like it. 
    Apples & PB is a great snack and I love it especially if I’m feeling nauseous! Pickles & apple sandwich sounds very interesting 🤣

    @virtaur Coffee is my jam too 🤣 So I miss it a lot currently. I thought I would be disgusted by the pickles and apples together but it was just what I needed at the time 🤣 Tried your idea of cucumbers, feta and balsamic and it was just so good!
  • @babykaste love that!! I also like adding roasted red peppers but I don’t have any and keep forgetting to get them! 
  • I had chocolate brownie ice cream and spicy beef ramen for dinner last night, lol. It was amazing!
  • I’m so nauseas and having so many aversions I’m sticking to foods that don’t have strong smells. Whole wheat bread, baby carrots, oranges, apples, cheese, etc. I might try ramen here soon though. 
  • I have no appetite at night, which means most of the time I go to bed a lil hungry, which is annoying! 😩 
  • I have cravings for subway at times. I would love some ideas on what to eat during the working day, like snack wise.. I get so hungry, moreso than my previous pregnancy. I don't have morning sickness so I'm hungry 24/7 it feels even at night when I should be asleep  :D

    @mrsok84 If you have a blender at home, my go to smoothie recipe is milk, banana, spinach, a tablespoon of chia seeds, frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries, maybe a splash of orange juice. I really think you can’t go wrong throwing frozen fruit, liquid (milk, yogurt or OJ) and banana in. I throw a serving of greens in bc I can’t taste them with the fruit. But you can also pick a smoothie up at a local smoothie place to try out first and they usually put protein powder in them which could be even more filling (if you have nausea though I’d avoid the protein powder)

  • I’ve been having bad subway cravings too, but a hard time finding things to eat! Sometimes a quick sandwich with mayo, mustard, pickles, cheese and some salt and pepper hits the subway craving for me (depending on what kind of sandwich you usually get there!)
  • I just get subway when I want it 🤣
