Pumping and nursing ?

I am still on maternity leave so I nurse all day but i am trying to stock up so i am tryng to pump also.  If you pump and nurse how much BM are you getting day?  How often are you pumping?  And are you using something like More Milk Plus to help?

    When I was on materinity leave I would pump right after the first feed of the morning and would usually get between 4 and 5 oz.  I did that for the last 1.5 months of my maternity leave and had quite the stockpile by the time I went back.

    I don't think you should use something like MMP unless you are having supply issues, but that's just IMHO.  You don't want to create an oversupply which can lead to a foremilk/hindmilk inbalance.

    I only pump once a day while building my supply. I pumped after my morning feed. I only feed DS on one side in the mornings then pump the other side. I get about 5-6 ounces and store that. It took a while but it adds up now. I also pump if DS sleeps through a feeding, then when he wakes up I still just put him on the breast.

                     7/08, 1/12, 2/14, Due with baby #4  2/12/16
