I’ve never had a DD in the beginning of the month so it’s weird how empty it is here. Where is everyoneeeee but some aren’t even pregnant yet 🤣

I’m here lol. Usually checking every day to see how everyone is doing. My midwife messaged me after the office said they don’t typically ultrasound until 20 weeks. My midwife said this Thursday she’ll be doing an ultra As a base line! Baby will be so small I’m sure (I’ll be 4+4) but my fiancé and I are so excited!

@hollowayexpat hi!! I am too, I keep hoping we’ll get some more intros soon!! My last BMB opened late so by the time we all started posting there were a lot of us (I was due later in the month). So I'm sure there will be more traffic soon!

& that’s so exciting about the ultrasound!!! Sounds like you should be able to see a sac at least hopefully?

I want to schedule mine soon! With my son I saw him at 7w and he was a lil bean 🫘 so cute

I had an early DD in my April 17 BMB but it opened late so didn’t have the lull experience.

It seems too early to start a names thread but I’m curious what people are thinking for names. If it’s a boy, we’re going with Hunter. If it’s a girl, my husband wants an H name but I don’t like many (any?) of them. Trying to convince myself I like Harriet. He likes Helen but I don’t.

& I was thinking about a names thread too, the other night I wanted to make all the threads we’ll need but I didn’t want to seem crazy and put the carts before the horses 😅 I think the nn Hattie for a girlie is so cute! Hunter is a good choice for a boy!

I have no idea tbh…gavin was my runner up for a boy yet OF COURSE I work with one now and idk if I can choose the name now lol
I think I’m going to find out the sex first before getting into names. Even though baby names were my sh*t for a while and I still have my long list of names in my notes!

@catem07 I’m certain my excitement will fill the discomfort lol. We can not wait! We already have our gender neutral name picked out and are announcing it at the baby shower.

When do you friend plan on having your baby shower? I was thinking February, is that too early or late?

@virtaur I hope other people join! I’m hoping to find a cool outdoorsy group of moms in my area to have play dates with.

This will be my third so I doubt anyone will throw me a shower (which is fine, I have kept tons of stuff). February is a great time though.

For my early April baby I had my shower in early January. But you may not be showing a ton by February, depending on your body type, so if you want to have a good bump maybe wait until end of Feb or March.

@hollowayexpat it’s def uncomfortable sometimes but shouldn’t be too terrible. Just be prepared to possibly spot afterwards especially if you have a sensitive cervix! I spotted brown for a few days after mine at 7w with my son.

I’m not sure if anyone will offer to throw me a sprinkle or whatever for this baby. I’d probably decline but Idk! I had my son’s shower around 33 weeks and I thought that was a good time for a low-risk singleton. If you’re high risk or having multiples I’d probably say sometime in late 2nd tri!

I agree that it’s so crazy how few people are here but I get that it’s just early! I had a beginning of the month due date with my first, but I think I still joined the board late. With my second, I had an end of the month due date.

Re: tv ultrasounds - I’ve had a ton and never found them painful. Good luck @hollowayexpat !

I’ve never had a baby shower because both my babies are Covid babies! But we hosted Sip and Sees for both that were such amazing parties. I’m sure we’ll do the same for #3

Leaving for the beach tomorrow for Labor Day weekend! Anyone have any fun LDW plans?

Update: no ultrasound but we’re doing one at the end of next month. Everything seems great, HCG at 2815 already (4+4). My midwife said everything is very positive. Stoked for my ultrasound at the end of next month!

I feel like I need to stop testing. I took one this afternoon (with concentrated urine) and it was lighter than my last one. The line was kinda splotchy so I’m hoping maybe it was the test. But of course it’s making me spiral. I just want to see a super dark test line.
