Rubella antibodies blood test

Has anyone had low Rubella antibodies? I was tested in February and was immune and now it’s coming back with .93. And says I need to be retested. I never got sick, but I did travel internationally when I conceived so I’m scared. My doctor never even mentioned this vaccine when we were trying to get pregnant. Praying it’s a false reading. I have to go back within two to four weeks and test again. But I’m so confused why it would go down? Has anyone else had anything similar to this? I’m 9 weeks pregnant.

I have this now. Long story as to why I have had multiple blood tests, but I've had like 4 and my numbers go from immune to not immune. My doctor says it is really common to lose immunity as we get older. The solution is to get another mmr vaccine after you give birth. It is one of few vaccines that are unsafe to get pregnant, so they'll wait. The whole possible lack of immunity definitely freaks me out and I sometimes wear a mask if I am around a lot of peopme. Luckily, there is herd immunity, so most ppl are vaccinated and do not actively have a rubella or a mumps infection to spread.

  • This happened with my varicella antibodies! I had a booster in 2021 because blood work showed that I had no immunity, despite being vaccinated as a kid, so I assumed everything was fine. But no, I still lack immunity and I’ll also have to wait until after I give birth to have another shot. So I guess I’ll have to avoid folks with chicken pox and shingles, but that will hopefully be pretty rare.
