  Hello, I have the same experience. Definitely is concerning when you’ve never experienced pregnancy before and cannot seem to find much information online about how common it is!
  I found out at about 3 weeks pregnant. I had been experiencing menstrual like cramping and thought my period would be coming. I am 7 weeks now and the cramping has been consistent throughout. My doctor said baby and uterus is growing so cramping is often related to that. The main thing, they say, is as long as you are not experiencing heavy bleeding in addition it is usually nothing uncommon.

  Did anyone experience a little more pain/cramps on the side they ovulated on? I’m 4 weeks pregnant.

  Mine started on the side I ovulated on but moved to the middle the next day.

  I’m 8 weeks pregnant. A few times I had menstrual-like cramps while I was sleeping, while I was having some kind of a sexual dream. I get sensations like during the orgasm. And I guess my uterus starts contracting too. I try to wake up right away to stop it. And I feel some serious cramping then. Has anyone else experienced anything like that?
  I try to stay away from anything sexual now but still get bothered by that in my dreams.

  I am having cramps in the morning and at night. A usually when I’m not moving around. I heard it’s extremely normal :)

  I’ve been having the same thing since 2-3 weeks. I was told my uterus is growing. It’s uncomfortable.

  Very similar experience here. First pregnancy. Have been having lower left abdominal cramping mostly with no spotting/bleeding. Had confirmatory ultrasound today and baby is perfect. 7 weeks along and OB said cramping is normal due to body knowing something is in the uterus.

  I just found out that I’m pregnant over this past weekend… first rodeo here too! The cramping has been concerning to me as well… have any of y’all experienced brown discharge along with the cramps? I’m wondering if this is normal?

  It could be round ligament pains. This is where the uterus is stretching and preparing for your baby.

  I'm 7 weeks 5 days and the past two days I've been cramping in my lower left abdomen and now it's making my back and legs ache. I'm hoping that's just as normal too.

  :) I'm 7 weeks now with number 5 on the way. I can say that the cramping sensation while very annoying is very much common for pregnancy. I have had cramping with all my children in the beginning and especially towards the end. It usually only last a few minutes but I have learned that slow steady movements keep them at bay when they do occur. When the cramping occurs my suggestion is to find a place to relax, massage your belly with your palms and drink water! Drinking water helps things flow better!
