Welcome to everyone getting their BFPs! I know I'm looking forward to do ing this with as many mammas as possible lol. Let me know if you have any questions etc that you want to use for the GTKY section cause I am sure I will run out. And as always this is a safe space!

Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 4/16 5 weeks 3 days

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the sizstressing f: size of a Lavender bud.

Upcoming appointments: 1st OB appt is Sept 13th. I'll be 9 weeks then, which is willlllld.

How are you feeling?: Feeling exhausted, but pleasantly surprised that I'm not puking my guts up yet. I've had some nausea here and there but nothing as intense as my previous pregnancies.

Rants/Raves: I'm ranting about work. Work is really stressing me out. I support 3 people, which really just means I have 3 managers, and they are not always on the same page and it's driving me insane! I don’t suffer fools well while pregnant and they are really testing my patience with their shenanigans. 😂

Questions: does anyone else feel antisocial? Like, I legitimately don't want to talk or hear people talking around me. -_-

GTKY: How many children do you currently have and what are their ages? What are you hoping to have?
I have 3 daughters, my oldest is 12, middle 4(turning 5 this year) and 15 mos. I do hope that this pregnancy is a boy because I am pretty sure this is the last one for me. So this is our last chance, but I also really love being a girl mom, so I'll still be happy either way.

Upcoming appointments: I still have to make it. Since I tested so early I was waiting to test one more time this weekend cause technically my period is due this weekend

How are you feeling?: I feel bloated. My belly just feels heavy. I feel nauseous here and there but I didn't get nauseous with my daughter until week after my period was due

Rants/Raves: nothing right now

Questions: is it possible to feel movement this early? I feel this tickle along my belly at times. I felt that when my daughter was first moving. Maybe gas🤷‍♀️

GTKY: How many children do you currently have and what are their ages? What are you hoping to have?

I have a just 1 daughter. She will be 2 at the end of September. I kinda want another girl but happy with either

Upcoming appointments: did blood work earlier this week. Dating ultrasound in one week to help me know my due date!

How are you feeling?: exhausted. Having some food aversions. Feeling nauseous when I’m hungry. Which is amazing to feel these symptoms !!

Rants/Raves: daycare for my little guy is my rant/rave. The Center he’s supposed to start at in two weeks still isn’t open. They’re terrible at communicating their progress…. BUT they got him in at another location in the meantime so we are grateful for that!

Questions: any other Canadians on here?

GTKY: How many children do you currently have and what are their ages? What are you hoping to have?
I have one son. He will be celebrating his first birthday in 2.5 weeks!

Upcoming appointments: 1st appt at 6 weeks, no ultrasound until 10 weeks though

How are you feeling?: Bloated with slight cramps, hunger comes on strong randomly, nauseous at the thought of eating and certain smells, but no vomiting

Rants/Raves: nothing out of the ordinary lol

Questions: When will everyone tell their families & friends? I’m terrible at keeping secrets! Also, are you guys going to find out the gender beforehand? My husband and I are going back and forth!

GTKY: How many children do you currently have and what are their ages? What are you hoping to have?
No human babies, just 1 pup who is like our child lol. Hoping to have a girl since our whole family has boys currently. Hoping to have 2-3 kids!

@jtaly962 did you confirm with your second test yet? I only tested once and it came right up, but usually I test like 4 or 5 times before satisfied. This time I told myself if I got the positive and no period is in sight then believe it. Haha

@melyrae dating ultrasounds are so much fun. I still have to wait 4 more weeks until my appt for the 1st internal scan. I'll be 9 weeks then which feels surreal. Also, Happy early birthday to your son! 3 is such a fun age.

@cass2121 I usually don't say anything
until we're 12-13 weeks. But I have had a miscarriage which has made me a bit cautious when it comes to announcing. I did not like having to explain to everyone what had happened so I just keep it to myself until I confirm that everything is well at the 12 week ultrasound.

With all three of my girls we've found out beforehand, but I kinda want to wait for this one since I'm pretty sure this is our last and I want to be surprised. But also, I want to knooowww lol.

My hubby experiences pregnancy sympathy symptoms. I actually really hate that he does cause whatever he experiences I do too.

Like,he was complaining of being tired the week before I was overcome with exhaustion and that's why I tested.

Today he woke up with a headache and nausea and then promptly threw up. So I guess next week I'll be praying to the porcelain gods after all. 😮‍💨 lol

@cass2121 I didn't tell just immediate family until after the first ultrasound. Our first miscarriage we didn't know until we went to our ultrasound that their was no heartbeat. Then we made a social media announcement at 13 weeks

@jtayl962 I had a similar story. Our first miscarriage we didn’t know the pregnancy wasn’t viable until the 8 week ultrasound. So with our next pregnancy (my healthy little son) we had a lot of anxiety at every single ultrasound… I’m sure this pregnancy anxiety will be similar. But I’m grateful to have had many positive experiences after that negative one. Because of that, we won’t be telling anyone until our first ultrasound.

How are you feeling?: Very tired, bloated, nauseated/heart burn

Rants/Raves: Not really a rant but just had my daughters third birthday party and thats a lot of work when you dont feel good lol 😝

One daughter that just turned three. We would like to have two kids. Having had three losses after our daughter we feel lucky to have her and hope this will be the sibling she deserves.

I'm having some bleeding. I'm worried. But also have a history of blood clots in my uterus during pregnancy....so I'm hoping it's that. But...I don't know. I'll call the doctor tomorrow.

Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 4/12, 6 weeks 3 days

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: sweet pea

Upcoming appointments: Been trying to get an appointment scheduled but the OB office won’t schedule it until they have all of my records. They should have been sent over the weekend though so I’ll be calling today!!

How are you feeling?: So far I’ve just had sore nipples and some waves of intense fatigue. Also had some dizziness from getting up too fast. I had nausea at this point in my last pregnancy so I’m just waiting for that shoe to drop lol

Rants/Raves: Nothing at the moment!

Questions: Anyone else still breastfeeding a kiddo? My 20 month old still nurses a couple times a day and it’s already starting to be a little uncomfortable.

GTKY: How many children do you currently have and what are their ages? What are you hoping to have?
I have a 20 month old son. My partner and I are hoping for a girl. We’ll be happy either way of course!

Hey,

So, they did an ultrasound today. But they were only checking to see if the gestational sack was there since it's too early for them to see anything else and they wanted to see if I had a visible SCH. Good news is that the gestational sack was there and that no visible SCH was present.

My cervix is closed which is a good thing (means that I'm not currently miscarriage although I could have before the appointment.) And then they sent me for labs. I go back on Wednesday to get my next set and those will tell us a more complete story about this pregnancy.

I do feel pregnant. So I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. The wait till Wednesday will be a hard one.

Upcoming appointments: Contacting my midwife today!

How are you feeling?: suprisingly ok. Still exhausted, hot and cold, dizzy, and starving.

Rants/Raves: If I really am 6 weeks, I feel great! 🤣 But I doubt that. My parents and 80+ year old grandmother are flying into CA and were supposed to go drive and see them this weekend. Thats a 6 hour drive one way and a cross country flight for them. I am terrified and Idk what to do. Morning sickness hits me like a train on rocket fuel. I dont think traveling is a good idea. But they flew all that way 😩

I have 4 sons, 6 , 4, and 1. I will be thrilled either way. Id love a girl but I also love being a boy mom and would be over the moon to have another boy. Odds are at about 12% that I would have a girl @casper1118 sounds like were in the same boat but the opposite gender 🤣

@cass2121 I tell early. I get so sick its basically impossible to hide anyways. I always find out the gender too because it makes ME crazy not knowing whos in there 🤣 BUT, especially if its a girl, I might keep it from the family this time. I dont need to be inundated in pink.

Knottie.... I cant. Too many numbers 🤣 I am still tandem nursing my 4 and 1 year old. My sore breasts were sign 2 to go test. I have lots of tricks you can try to make it better, but the truth is none of them really worked for me 🤣 sometimes lubricating with coconut oil takes the edge off.

Upcoming appointments: 1st scan and OB check is 08/28 - I’ll be 6w0d

How are you feeling? Anxious and tired. Really hope the days fly by so I can get to my first scan.

Rants/Raves: Ranting about my pregnancy symptoms being all over the place! In the beginning, I was nauseous, a little tired, and my boobs hurt bad. Then one day I felt fine and that scared the crap out of me because the same thing happened with my MMC. So that was followed by days of no sleep and anxiety. Then the soreness came back a little and the exhaustion hit me like a train. Nausea was gone until last night - one whiff of my fish oil omega 3’s and I was running for the bathroom. Now today I feel fine. What’s with the rollercoaster of symptoms?!

Questions: Is anyone else dealing with PAL? Has anyone else had symptoms that ebbed and flowed?

GTKY: How many children do you currently have and what are their ages? What are you hoping to have?

No current children, just an angel baby. My husband and I want one of each, so no preference. Honestly just hoping for a healthy baby that we can hold, come April 2024.

Upcoming appointments: 9/19 with a new obgyn cause my last one moved

How are you feeling?: very tired, sore boobs/nips, and beginnings of smell aversions

Rants/Raves: I am doing some training for a new and fully remote part time job that I have lined up to start in Dec! I am so excited to be able to make money from my house!! (Lol or the library near my kiddo's preschool). This is a career transition for me from the healthcare field, so especially after the last few years I am so proud of myself and excited about it.

Questions: anyone have any for fun book/movie/show recommendations?

GTKY: How many children do you currently have and what are their ages? What are you hoping to have? I have a 4.5 yr old son! (and a 2 yr old girl dog). I am just hoping for healthy, tbh. But one time when I was younger, I think 12 or 14, my mom got really mad at me and said "when you grow up you're gonna have boys!!" and we joke that she's been right so far.

@missniecey my first pregnancy was a MMC just over 8 weeks, and I didn’t find out til my 8 week scan. I’ve had one successful pregnancy since then, and I don’t think the anxiety let up until I could feel his kicks. Even then, it was still there til I held my healthy babe in my arms. PAL Is a rollercoaster. I’m still feeling all the feelings and the trauma of it all during this pregnancy too. It’s hard, but you’re not alone in this journey. And it’s ok to feel everything, even the ugly feelings.
