Fear tips

Hi, does anyone have constant fear or anxiousness about something going wrong with the baby? That they will have any health problems or genetic problems. I try to stay positive and visualize the best but with all the stories you hear I have been feeling super worried and I don’t want to feel this way :( any tips beside meditations/journaling? Thank you

Re: Fear tips

  • @pmdunn no tips but totally get it. I am afraid of going through a series of miscarriages again. Iam just trying to stay positive and good thing it's busy season for my job to distract me

  • @pmdunn as someone who has gone through baby loss, and then a successful pregnancy, I can relate. I don’t have many tips… rely on your support. It’s okay to talk about it to your safe people. And as time goes by, you’ll be grateful for those beautiful moments of being pregnant.
  • I'm newly pregnant, took us just under two years. This is our first and I feel the same way. You're not alone! It's hard not too worry. I'm trying to do the same and stay positive. Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy!! Sometimes statsics help me settle my mind- the numbers are in our favor. Most people are more likely to have no problems than have them. Hope that helps a little mamma.
  • Hey Monkey, I get it. I’ll be all smiles one moment and the next, I feel a typical twinge and get all in my head about my past miscarriages. It can suck. I’ve found that the “what if” technique can help bring my stress level down when it spikes. When I feel myself start to spiral, I ask myself “what if it all goes well?” Imagining what it could be like if I didn’t stress about it can really help level me out. Hope this and the other tips help some. Best of luck!
  • I always find comfort in the statistics, like monkey. The odds are overwhelmjngly in favor of a happy healthy pregnancy and baby
