Breathing in second hand smoke

I recently traveled to Europe for a vacation and everyone there smoked. I tried my best to stay away from breathing it all in but it was everywhere. Has anyone been in this situation? I’m nervous the second hand smoke may have affected the baby, currently 9 weeks pregnant

Re: Breathing in second hand smoke

  • We're you in an enclosed area with people smoking for long periods of time?  Or were you walking outside where there is predominantly fresh air?

Is it something that you are encountering every day?  Is it the greatest? No, but if it was minor exposure your fetus I'd fine.  Just avoid as much as you can.  Avoid.

  • I’m worried about this too.. 9 weeks today, and tonight was at an outdoor concert. There was a group of people that kept smoking nearby and it was hard to get away from. I was there for about an hour and a half. Kind of worried now and wish I would of just left earlier. They weren’t smoking the whole time, but on and off quite a bit. Google made me feel much worse about second hand smoke.
  • You can’t change it now so do your best not to worry about it and try to avoid it in the future. Talk to your doctor if you’re really concerned.
