Cervix check and turning the baby

I had my appointment this morning at 10Am where they tried to turn my breeched baby and I’ve been cramping since the appointment and have just started to spot. It’s still light not dark red so I’m not sure if I need to be worried. I feel like if I started spotting would’ve started earlier after the appointment if it was caused by turning or my cervix check not 6 hours later. Just want to know if anyone has had the same experience or any advice. Thank you!

  • Did they tell you if spotting or bleeding is a normal side effect of trying to flip the baby? If you have any concerns about bleeding you can always call the advice nurse at your practice

I refused cervical chevks. Also refused to.let tjem turn the second baby because I was having a csection anyway. He literally turned days before, the little booger lol
  • Spotting is usually normal post check. But if you're concerned hit up your doctor.
  • I said no to trying to turn my baby. Have a c section scheduled bc she's been breech for a while but praying she turns on her own. It's scheduled 2 days before my due date so we will see. Also, why did you decline cervical checks?
  • I would use spinning babies website for the best and safest info on helping babies turn. Manual turning is brutal. There are ways to make room for baby to turn with your positioning, posture, etc. I too would refuse cervical checks. Not necessary. Ugh…they get so pushy and regimental. They need to back the hell off.
