This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but
have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your
thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long
journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with
infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to
infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make
this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another.
Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have
something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Taking this cycle off
How are things going?: There is a ton of stuff going on the next few weeks (road race, out of town guests, tons of events), and we're enjoying a busy August staycation. August is also a hard month for me in terms of loss stuff. So I decided I don't want to take any medications, or take my BBT, or pee on any OPKs, or time sex. I just don't want to think about it this month. My husband was super supportive of this approach, and I am super happy to be relaxing this cycle. We plan to come back to medicated cycles and TI in September.
I will still try to pop in here on Mondays to set up the threads. It's been soooooo slooooow here lately, and I would hate for this space to get lost or disappear, or fall into the hands of drive-by Peggies and special snowflakes.
Any questions?: NATM
GTKY: What is your favorite funny movie? I'm not much of a movie buff, but I LOL every time I catch Bridesmaids on TV.*siggy warning*

@maggiemadeit Sorry you're in a rough month. That's always late September and October for me.
I hope you have a decent month regardless, and are able to spend some time doing things you enjoy!
Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained RPL
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): on BC pills/benched for a few weeks until retrieval!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Retrieval!
How are things going?: Good? I got all my meds ordered (sticker shock, even though I had an idea of how much it would cost, it was still more than anticipated). But started CD 1 Sunday, and today started BC pills. Got like 3 weeks of these. Then I have a pre-injection appointment Sept 7 to get my baseline numbers, and Sept 8 I start stabbing myself full of all the things!
Any questions?: OK, I thought Retrieval meds fell in the like 6K-15K range, depending on you and how much you needed and then could be more if you needed another retrieval cycle or something? Geesh! The price tag was 20K, which seemed exorbitant! We figured it out by paying for one of them out of pocket, so we wouldn't be blowing almost our entire lifetime maximum on this one (maybe full) cycle of meds. But geesh!
GTKY: What is your favorite funny movie? Maybe it's the fact that I'm a Fed, but Office Space. LOL. I legit had at least 5 bosses/supervisor to report to one day... and too many forms to fill out for something... and my life feels like that movie at times.October 2015 - 1st MC. 7-8 weeks along. Suspected molar PG, but luckily just a MMC.
June 2016 - 2nd MC: 4-5 weeks CP

IUD - March 2019-March 2023
RE 3: Repeat all the tests. Hoping to try IVF.

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): IVF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): egg retrieval!
How are things going?: Great! My PCOS ovaries are good for something, and I’ve had a great response to stims. At my appointment this morning they counted 13 follies that are basically ready, and another 13 that are close behind. My RE said he’s thinking there should be at least 20 at retrieval. I have another monitoring appointment set for tomorrow, and then retrieval will likely be Saturday as long as nothing funky comes back with my bloodwork today.
Any questions?: for anyone who has done this before - how should I expect to feel after retrieval?
GTKY: What is your favorite funny movie? I’m also a fan of bridesmaids, and pitch perfect is a good one too@stormageddon-darklordofall I've been going nuts lately trying to figure out all the insurance and coverage crap, I wish it was easier to navigate!
@optimisticoctopus fingers crossed for non-funky!
Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): IUI
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): after some testing earlier this week I'm going back on letrozole but with a higher dose and then headed back next week to continue monitoring
How are things going?: okay I guess, just trying to keep track of all the appointments
Any questions?: nope
GTKY: What is your favorite funny movie? Mean Girls, always a classic!Married: 11/12/16

Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, one tube is blocked, ama
Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): stillllll waiting for AF. 🙃😒
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I met with a new RE last week. He wants to do some additional testing, especially on the autoimmune side of things. But- wants me to do that starting on CD 1. If I don’t have my period back by Monday he wants to do an US to make sure nothing is retained. Because I “should” have it back by now.
How are things going?: I really liked the new RE and he had a good plan to hopefully get a take home baby and through pregnancy safely. it’s just frustrating waiting.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What is your favorite funny movie? Mr Right. It was just enough sarcastic/ ironic dry dark humor without being slap stick.
