Measuring 6 days behind

I had my 8 week ultrasound today. Heartbeat was great and baby looked great but measured at 7w1d. I go back in a week for a second ultrasound. The doctor didn’t seem concerned at all. But naturally I am overthinking things. Has anyone had a positive experience like this? Thinking I ovulated late but would like to hear if anyone has had a similar experience.

    The exact same thing happened to me. 8 weeks but measuring 7w1d. I go back in next week for another ultrasound. I did a lot of googling after my appt (🙈) and there were several people who said the baby caught up in size during the 2nd trimester and they were right on track. 

    I do ovulate later than is typical, around CD 17 compared to the 'normal' which is CD 14. My OB didn't seem concerned either, especially after I told her about my ovulation, so I'm trying not to overthink it!
