@hedgepig glad your camping trip went well! and hopefully everyone got a good night's sleep last night
For some reason work has decided to be insanely busy, and we're way understaffed so I'm just working non-stop (except for my occasional TB breaks).
Has anyone tried any alcohol free wines/drinks? My DH wants to cut back on his drinking (especially since I'm not drinking now) so we've been trying different NA wines and I have to say, I kind of love them. I'm not a huge soda or sweet beverage person so it's nice to have something special on a friday night!
@lilizzie31 Can I get some recommendations? A lot of celebrations will be happening throughout my pregnancy besides holidays (my, DH, MIL, BIL’s birthdays, BIL’s wedding, and my 10th anniversary) and it’d be nice to have a glass of wine without worrying about the alcohol content.
As far as me, we’re going out with friends tonight and they knew we’ve been trying since we started as well as the miscarriage back in May, so they’re the only ones we’re breaking the news early to.
So far my favorites have been Noughty Sparkling (it's on the drier side, which I love) and Phony Negroni if you like Negronis/bitter drinks - although it has some effervescence which makes it similar to an Aperol Spritz! We're going to try a couple NA spirits next so I'll keep you updated
9+1 today and was able to find baby’s heartbeat with my doppler. Earliest of any of my pregnancies. It was so special ❤️
So exciting!
I just tried (8wk 6dy) with no luck! I want to tell my kids but I was hoping to hear the heartbeat before I do. Now I am just talking myself down because it really is too early!
I’m planning on telling the family next week simply because my mom and I share a hairdresser, this will be my first visit since I found out, she can’t relax my hair this time and she can’t keep her mouth shut. I’ll feel more confident at 8 weeks anyway.
@farm_mama i was so surprised. I think what helped was laying entirely flat and having my bladder so full it was about burst which pushed my uterus up to basically my belly button lol
