New pregnancy labor law

Hi! Does anyone have any experience with use of the new labor law for pregnancy passed June 27th and what this could include? I thought it provided help and accommodations for medical appointments related to pregnancy but reached out to my HR and they said no

    I had the same kind of response stating that there is no fmla for the pregnancy itself just prenatal ob appointments. So of im sick i need to use sick leave, and wont qualify as fmal protected status. So its kinda redundant or they havent gotten the memo yet.

    Thanks! I’ve tried to press my HR for more answers. I was recently hospitalized for two days related to pregnancy and I was really hoping I wouldn’t be required to use my PTO in hopes that I could save it up to add to mg maternity leave.
