    Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: pink

Upcoming appointments: anatomy scan on 8/10

How are you feeling? Great! Finally have my energy back and not feeling exhausted/fatigued all the time. Anxious since my next appointment is three weeks away!

Raves/Rants: my HR business partner is not able to explain how the company benefits (pregnancy disability and maternity leave) works in parallel with California paid leave benefits. I’m planning way ahead but frustrating that I’m not able to get specific questions answered.

Questions: what maternity pillow, if any, have you been using? Been recently waking up in the middle of the night because of hip pain. There’s so many options to choose from!

How are you feeling?  I’m so elated that the scan was perfect!!!! And I’m feeling him move so much more consistently.

Raves/Rants: baby moon in 10 days in Aruba! Woohooooooo! We are so excited!

Questions: soooo baby was measuring two weeks ahead in 99th percentile. any STM with experience with really big babies?? Did they come early? Did you opt for a c-section?

Baby is the size of a(n): Troll Doll according to Babylist - kind of creepy, haha.

    Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: 💗💕💗

Upcoming appointments: Specialist was cancelled, so now I'm all set until August 16 for just a regular check-up.

How are you feeling? Finally feeling better about this whole rash fiasco...dermatologist thinks it was just bug bites that got infected and that's what caused them to get extra rashy - but nothing that would cause any harm to the baby.

Raves/Rants: Now that I'm not super anxious about this rash and trying to see a specialist, I can finally get excited about our babymoon in August! Also, our friend sent us a whole spreadsheet of things she loved with her daughter, so I'm feeling a lot better about my registry.

    Questions: None at the moment.

@ahrob135 I bought the Amazon version of the Babybub pillow and like it so far.  I like that it's not a giant pillow that takes up the whole bed, but just provides belly/back support and comes with a smaller pillow to put between your knees or stack on top for extra support.
  • Weeks: 19 tomorrow!!

Baby is as tall as string cheese

Upcoming appointments: I will meet a new midwife at a different practice Monday. Anatomy scan is now pushed back another week due to switching practices. See rants.

How are you feeling?: Freaking awful again. I had two weeks without nausea and it is back with a vengeance this week. I'm so thankful to have another baby, but I hate being pregnant.

Rants: I live in the Appalachian mountain region and it is impossible to keep doctors here. I learned that one of the doctors at my practice quit unexpectedly when another male doctor joined the crew. I wasn't feeling great about only one doctor, but this guy has been at it for decades, so I was willing to stay. Then I found out this week that he has taken an extended leave of absence so now there is no doctor at the practice! I am a high risk patient who has to have a repeat c-section, and I just didn't feel good about not having a doctor in the building. My husband and I talked and we decided to switch practices. I was avoiding this new practice because the doctors are younger and tend to stay for a very short time period; however, this feels like my best option at this point.

I was scheduled to get my anatomy scan next week but since I'm switching, it had to be moved to the following week. I'm a little bummed because I'm dying to know how baby is doing!!

@ahrob135 I'm so sorry about your hips! Mine have been hurting too. I've just been sleeping with a pillow between my knees and then I do sciatic nerve stretches each day. That's helped quite a bit.

Upcoming appointments: I had my anatomy scan today. Everything looks good, however I am considered high risk because of my age (I'm 36 - SO OLD :D ), so I get an extra organ scan with a high-tech machine next week. I rolled my eyes so hard at the reason, but hey, I get to baby again, this time in high resolution.

How are you feeling? Physically I am only dealing with mild constipation.

Raves/Rants: I have been in a permanent bad mood for over 2 weeks so everything feels like a rant, even though that's definitely not true. One thing I am thankful for every single day is a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy <3

  • EDD/Weeks + days: December 28 / 18 weeks

Baby is the size of a(n): Artichoke

Upcoming appointments: 20 week anatomy scan on August 14th!

How are you feeling? I finally started to feel better yesterday after nausea, vomiting, headaches, and acid reflux every day since the beginning of this pregnancy. I still have aversions to soda, coffee, and beef. I have had bad anxiety since the beginning too, but I am starting to feel more relaxed.

Raves/Rants: I’m ready to eat again and enjoy it without worrying about whether I’m going to get sick or have bad acid reflux afterwards. I’ve been very careful about what I eat — sticking to salads mostly.
