Weekly Randoms - July 24-30

Re: Weekly Randoms - July 24-30

  • Weekend was really nice. But I'm convinced my brain no longer works. On the last randoms I told everyone that we were going to have 10 kids in the house. But so far I only have 4 kids, apparently I totally counted this baby. oops.

Looking at a quiet week here, which is good, I need to recover from the weekend.

    @mrosek91😂😂 baby brain fog.

Had a nice low key weekend. The kids had their first day of camp today and ds2 was very worried about it. Asked me to stay repeatedly on the drive there and then took off to play the second we got in the building, didn’t even say bye to me. I’m waiting to pick them up right now and trying to figure out how we’re going to kill time before heading home so we can avoid traffic. The military base near us just let out and there was a road rage shooting about an hour ago where traffic is already bad at this hour so everywhere is backed up. I do not understand how people get that mad driving. I just can’t imagine.
  • @kmw611 I mean, I’ve gotten mad driving but never near that mad.

I have multiple bosses, and all of them want something, and that’s not counting all the other people asking me for favors because I’m the only one in the office with enough patience to call IT. Combine that with pregnancy brain, and I’m starting to leave sticky notes everywhere reminding me what I need to do.
  • Been a nervous start to the week. Experienced weird pink/brown discharge yesterday and today and suddenly my nausea disappeared too. Without other symptoms, my doc said just to watch it for now. If it gets worse, we’ll move up the fist appt.

I put my notice in at my moonlight job, because I lift heavy things there and need to not.

Am across the state just now picking up my mom to drive her back tomorrow. At least I wasn’t nauseous for the drive…

Anyways, here’s hoping. Partner and I have already decided whatever happens is okay. We know the risk of mc right now is still pretty up there. Am anxious. Hoping Kidlet is sticking it out. 🤞🤞🤞

@toots_mcgee I’m glad you weren’t dealing with nausea for the drive. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
  • Today (25) is my twins’ 5th bday! We celebrated in new braunfels at a condo and by going to schlitterbahn! They had the best time! I can’t believe they’re already 5. :( they’re my youngest and to think my youngest are 5 is so crazy to me!
My two older girls are 15 mo apart and then it was 2 years between my youngest DD and my boys, then they were just 2 mins apart 🤪 and then now this 5 year age gap between pregnancies, i feel out of my league. (Even though i know it’s not that crazy!)
My oldest will be 9 years older than this little babe. 😂
    It’s so wild hearing. Babies don’t keep, y’all! 🥹

enjoying this trip loving on them a little extra and getting this special time with them! The sappy hormones don’t help! 🤪
  • I’m trying to coordinate an office move at work (we get the keys on 8/1 and move on 8/12), and wrap up enough projects in time to leave on a family trip with my in-laws (leaving on 8/2). We’re going to be at the beach for over a week and the goal is to not give away the fact that I’m pregnant. My MIL knows and is sworn to secrecy (she’s my boss at work—family business—and it’s just so much easier for her to know why I’m so exhausted these days), but we’re not telling anyone else in my husband’s family until 14w.

@k_sims happy late birthday to you littles!!

My boys have been at summer camp for a few hours a day each day this week and it has been so nice to have a few hours to myself during the day. I got some of our school supply shopping done and did a little self care each day, pedicure, hair cut, eyebrows. It’s been so nice and the boys are loving camp.
