EDD / Weeks + Days: 2/24/24, 8+3 (I have to check my app every single time I do this because I can never remember, last weeks I think I was still wrong)
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Baby is the size of a(n): Kidney bean
Team blue/pink/green: Doing NIPT 8/18 and will find out
Upcoming Appointments: 8/18
How are you feeling?: Nauseous, less like morning sickness and more like I just don't feel good and I'm not able to eat very much. I don't have the usual symptoms of a UTI but they told me I have the Strep B version when my pee results came back yesterday so I started taking antibiotics and I'm thinking maybe that's why I haven't been feeling well the last couple days. I am hoping at least, and that I will start feeling better soon.
Rants/Raves: My work pants are starting to get tight, I ordered some maternity ones over the weekend so I am excited for them to get here. If I eat too much, I look about as pregnant as I did at the end with my daughter (29 weeker + IUGR, pretty much nobody even knew I was pregnant because I never looked it) and my partner got a little emotional the other day looking at my stomach, saying I look so much healthier than last time. I had to remind him it was pretty much all food and bloat, but it was still nice.
Questions: I have no questions right now
GTKY: Since we're all hopefully more on the tail end of nausea, what foods are you craving? Right now the only thing that really sounds good to me is fruit, so I have been eating a lot of it.

Cheese is always a pregnancy craving for me… live chunk cheese… and coke slushees are my daily go to usually for nausea.

Baby is the size of a(n): Blueberry
Team blue/pink/green:
Fiancee is Team Pink ,so is the 10 year old. Mommy is happy either way!
Upcoming Appointments: Aug 8th we have another sono to ensure baby is growing strong and healthy, as well as *surprise* more bloodwork. Yuck!
How are you feeling?: Always exhausted, some achy back pain, and always nausea reminding me it's there, lol
Rants/Raves: Everyone seems so obsessed with LMP measuring baby's size. I clearly have irregular periods and ovulate all wonky. First sono baby was supposed to measure 8wk, but measured 6wk4d with 118 heartbeat, and the sonographer scared the hell out me. Went to OB a few days later, again baby was supposed to measure 8wk4d at that point and baby measured 7wk exactly with 132hb(this was last week) OB said not to worry. We did a bunch of bloodwork, everything came back within normal ranges. Still, thanks that early jump scare I'm overly paranoid. Anyone else feel like you're just overly anxious and worrying, but no big concerns as to why you should?
Questions: Nope!
GTKY: Since we're all hopefully more on the tail end of nausea, what foods are you craving? My nausea has been consistent, but not really enough to warrant actual vomiting(which again worried the crap out of me continuously) It's always just enough to let me know it's there any time I feel *too* good, haha. I still have a lot of food aversions, and meat is hard to stomach, but holy crap I love mac and cheese! I don't usually like anything too cheesy, but lately all I crave is mac and cheese and spicy food! xD
@knottie I don't really like coke all that much but a coke slushie sounds delicious right now.
@ginsukoneko I don't feel overly anxious, I think I am much less anxious than I was last pregnancy but I was oddly resigned to believing there wouldn't be a heartbeat at my first ultrasound. It ended up being fine, but I think it's normal to be anxious and worrying for no reason in pregnancy, especially early pregnancy and especially if you had a scare like you did! The internet is good for a lot of things and I think we learn a lot of helpful things about pregnancy but it also makes the 1 in 4 miscarriage rate really real when you see lots of people posting about terrible things happening to them and its easy to get worried. I'm glad everything turned out okay for you, but it must be hard to not be as far along as you thought you were.
@dinomeetsjedi love your username lol. It was a shock at first but mostly because I was basically convinced I was going to lose the baby based on how she presented the info. For the record I take medication daily for anxiety, so I’m already an overly anxious person lol. Once I saw an OB and noticed he wasn’t worried and baby was still growing I calmed down a bit. But there’s still that anxious worry in the back of my mind definitely.
Team blue/pink/green: team healthy baby! Just did NIPT yesterday….patiently waiting
Upcoming Appointments: 11.5w follow up on 7/24! So anxious to hear bb heartbeat♥️♥️
How are you feeling?: anxious, nauseous, sleepy
Rants/Raves: I saw some other posts, but I really crave fruit right now! I love cooking (especially veggies, meat, spicy foods etc) and was never a fruit person before. Now no veggies or meat, all fruit. Still get anxious about baby’s health and have started telling more friends, due to just going on a bach party and was the only one not drinking! Just excited to continue to get closer to 2nd trimester and being out in the open
Questions: how to help with anxiety? Need some moral support! Keep getting “excited” when I throw up because I’m hoping it just means baby is healthy and safe
GTKY: Since we're all hopefully more on the tail end of nausea, what foods are you craving? Fruit!!!! And popsicles

I’m good either way! > Upcoming Appointments: 7/21 NIPT testing and hopefully doppler > How are you feeling?: nauseous every night at 6pm til I go to bed. My throat and eyes are so dry! I’m in Michigan and it’s humid here, so it doesn’t make sense. I’ve also noticed some general malaise at the end of the day. > Rants/Raves: I’m too big for normal clothes but not far along enough where I feel like I should wear maternity clothes. > Questions: None > GTKY: Have any of your pets noticed you’re pregnant?? I have three dogs and a cat, and they’re completely oblivious!

Baby is the size of a(n): strawberry (my number one craving so far!!)
Team blue/pink/green: team healthy baby! Big brother (7) is team girl! “It will be nice to have a girl since I’m a boy, but a brother is okay too!” 🥰
Upcoming Appointments: 7/28
How are you feeling?: nausea is starting to subside, but still there. Had my first day of full (healthy and balanced of course) meals yesterday!
Rants/Raves: being plus sized already (I call it “baby weight” from my first, though I guess I shouldn’t anymore😂), I’m concerned about health risks involved with a higher BMI and difficulty delivering, and weight gain.
Questions: though we may be far off, is anybody planning a fun gender reveal? How are you revealing your pregnancies to work/family/friends (aka dropping the social media bomb)?
GTKY: Since we're all hopefully more on the tail end of nausea, what foods are you craving?
Fruit fruit fruit! I’m surprised to see this is common amongst the group! With my first I craved chocolate.
@knottie Please change your username if you haven't already so it is easier to tag you sometimes you have to log out and log back in for it to work.
For me, reading the book "Expecting Better" by Emily Oster that gives you actual statistics on things that people tell you to worry about helped me out. I have heard a lot of people recommend a mantra like "today I am pregnant" to help relieve some of the anxiety. Just trying to enjoy their pregnancies day to day. A short meditation can also help, there are lots of 5 minute meditations on youtube and there are lots specific for pregnancy. Hopefully seeing your baby next week will help too! The anxiety is hard.
@amf8000 Go for the maternity clothes, they're so much more comfortable! Who cares how far along you are with my first, I felt the same way as you and when I finally adjusted my wardrobe, I was surprised how much better and less uncomfortable and irritable I felt. And to answer your question, my pets never noticed I was pregnant either time. But they're also just generally oblivious to a lot of things.
@knottie Please change your username so we can tag you too! I just let my partner tell everyone because he gets really excited and loves telling everyone and I hate the attention I am dreading telling my work just because I don't really know how without it being awkward even though I know everyone will be happy for me. I have asked my MIL to do a small gender reveal for us this time around because I am trying to celebrate this pregnancy a little bit more than I did with my first and we never did one. I am trying to make my partner wait until 20+ weeks to announce on social media, but we will see if he can restrain himself. With my first we had a sign that said "I am a Jedi like my father before me" and had our ultrasound picture with a lightsaber. This time I think we will do "every Jedi needs a Padwan" with a similar setup.
Also, I am surprised about all the fruit cravings too. Maybe it's just because we're all so hot and dehydrated or something. I think that's at least part of it for me, so this is everyone's reminder to drink water today With my first all I craved was quick carbs like bread and rice and baked goods.
How are you feeling?: Tired! We just came home from a 5 day road trip to see family and boy am I exhausted! I had some cramping yesterday that scared me. I can feel little twinges and cramps daily, but for about 15 minutes I was hunched over. I've definitely had period cramps that were that intense/more intense before, but this was my first experience with strong cramps while pregnant. They subsided and I was just lightly crampy for about another hour. I have a more active job and I was running around our boat yard for a few hours in the heat, plus my usual athletic pants are definitely feeling tighter around my waist, so I'm hoping it was just a culmination of a bunch of little things, but it has my regularly anxious self on edge.
GTKY: Since we're all hopefully more on the tail end of nausea, what foods are you craving? Breakfast sandwiches have been my jam! But without eggs, the smell alone sends me right to barf city. Lemons, watermelon and strawberries have also been high on the list.
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM (hopefully). Second pregnancy - had a MMC in Dec at 9w2d found out at 10w
Baby is the size of a(n): Raspberry
Team blue/pink/green: can’t even comprehend this question until I get past the NIPT. Still doesn’t feel real.
Upcoming Appointments: private ultrasound next Tuesday (9w2d) before traveling to family - just need peace of mind; then ultrasound+NIPT+blood work on Aug 3 (hubby’s 40th birthday) at 10w4d
How are you feeling?: waves of bad nausea but it’s on and off daily. Other than that - really sore and pointy nipples. I think they have doubled in length. 🤦♀️🤦♀️😂
Rants/Raves: I wish my nausea was consistent! Every time it goes away, I worry about a MMC and then in comes back and I feel like 💩. You just can’t win!!!
Questions: when did nausea decrease for you?
GTKY: Since we're all hopefully more on the tail end of nausea, what foods are you craving? Not craving anything, just can’t stomach anything but carbs and processed foods (which is not like me)!
@katies1213 Good luck at your private ultrasound today. I hope it is amazing! Last pregnancy my nausea started at about 6 weeks and went away around 15 weeks and then came back around 22 weeks (although maybe it was just the beginning of preeclampsia for me?). This time mine waited until about 8 weeks but has been really bad this week. I have known a lot of people who said their nausea started decreasing around 10 weeks and went away right around 12 weeks (and I am hoping for that this time). Some people have it for their whole pregnancy. Nausea is unfortunately very different for everyone.
@cmill828 Those cramps sound scary. It definitely could be the combination of pants/heat/exercise possibly some dehydration. I know later with braxton hicks they can get a lot worse when you exercise or don't drink enough water. Maybe it is something similar.
