Went through ivf and have been insanely nervous bc I havenβt had many strong symptomsβ¦ but had my 7 week scan today and was so happy to see my lil guy with a heartbeat! Canβt seem to post a pic from my phone / the app but it doesnβt look that remarkable yet anyway. But Iβm certainly feeling all the relief!!
I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks but because of because of my history they brought me in for a reassurance scan at 10 weeks. The tech turned on the 3D view so that was a fun surprise!Β
This was my first ultrasound two days after I found out (just a coincidence I had to go in) 8 weeks 2 days, with a 176 heart rate. I get to see this babe again tomorrow, yay!Β
I had early glucose testing yesterday because my bmi is over 30 (i failed). Because I was so stressed between the testing, feeling like a failure already and just overall hormonal and anxious, the NP was sweet enough to do an ultrasound to put me at ease. Baby was far too active to get a picture of it's face, but we got baby feet! 13w3d
@cmill828 I'm sorry your glucose testing didn't go well. Will you have a longer test like the 3 hour test to confirm or do you have to start on diet/testing protocol? The GD journey is not a fun one, but at least they caught it early. Be kind to yourself because it's just a thing that happens in pregnancy, it's nothing you can control. I have heard from others that have had to begin GD protocol to ask for a continuous glucose monitor, it is apparently something your doctor can order for you so you don't have to poke yourself a million times a day to test and I've heard makes the journey a lot more bearable. Something to think about at least. I'm glad you got to see your little one!
Ultrasound sounds were booked pretty far our so I fi ally got to see my baby and hear their heartbeat at 13w 5d. Lots of moving around, but we were still able to snag a pretty good picture!
@dinomeetsjedi I go back in 2 weeks for 3 hr glucose testing. And even if I pass, they'll make me redo the testing at 28 weeks. The glucose monitor is an excellent idea, I will definitely bring that up at my next appointment. Thank you for the suggestion!
@katies1213 there's no denying that! How funny π
